I beleive there is a reason Vegas sets lines the way they do to get people to bet a certain way.So to answer your quiestion yes.They would not be in business if they were losing

Jason, once in awhile Vegas loses. If they never lost, do you think people would keep going back? I guess i've just never understood gambling based on what someone else bets as the reasoning and none other. That would seriously scare me. I guess that's why i don't do it.

Your right they do but generally betting against the public will win you money,especially when so heavily loaded on one side.

But that is also not the only reason i bet i have alot of games where i am on the same side of the public,but i also factor in match ups revenge stats injuries etc.

There was more money going on minnesota but a higher % on New England.But i like to follow smart money but the % on New England did not justify it being a play.Not to mention most services were on Minnesota.

Either way I think Phoenix is the right side on the NBA game,,IMO

It suggested fading minnesota.You could have 300 50$ players and 3 $10,000 players and the line would drop even though the higher % was on New England.

Jason, the line would GO UP even though the high % was on Minny, not down. People forget, all vegas cares about is the vig and evening out every play wagered to get the free money. The line is set to distribute it evenly (hopefully). When money is poured in on one side, that is when it moves to even the money out again.

I can't believe how many people over think these lines. To each their own i guess!
