If I would have said that i would be called a homer ...
diesel....
can u say 50 mph winds???? giants played how they had to win that game...Any other weather and it is a 31-7 game.......how bout the beating we placed on the cowboys???? going into atlanta and beating the piss out of them (last time i checked they were pretty good)....(comeback against eagles)....a sign of a good team is they win the games they are supposed to (bears)....and that is good.....
but you do not get style points or an extra W for doing it in dramatic fashion....So i do not want to hear about how much they won by...because when they line up....all that goes out the window....
i think it will be a great game....but i believe giants expose grossman.....JMHO
Thanks Rook, your feedback is just like you, short on a little substance.
LMAO...I figured you'd like that.
I agree with a lot of what you said.
I do think that you underestimate the Bears Defensive line. Given the fact that Manning has been sacked 15 times this year already (7th most in the NFC) and knowing how he has done against some fast pressure defenses in the past (Carolina last year).....the Bears Cover 2 could add to his very high Interception total already (8 tied for 2nd in NFC) and give the Bears some short fields to work with.
If the Bears get 10+ points off turnovers...i don't think the Giants can win. That means putting the ball in Tiki's hands more then not and he is the X factor in this game I believe.
Bears defense gives up only 82.4 yards per game and only 163.4 in the air which is 2nd best in the NFL.
giants have the most difficult schedule in the NFL. if the giants played the bears schedule they'd be undefeated also. For the giants to be as good as they are is a surpise to me. Giants are no joke this year. Only ? mark is that QB they have. other than that. NYG should be the team to beat in the NFC along with the Da bears.
I feel right now the home field advantage and the match-ups favor the Giants.
Match-up's:
NYG O Line versus Bears D Line - How can you not like how the NYG O Line has jelled. They can power you up the middle (which is what they will have to do against a Bears D that is quicker and Urlacher runs side line to side line better then any one right now). And they have two backs who know how to run behind them.
NYG D Line versus Bears O Line - I think this is where the schedule makes the difference. The Bears haven't seen a line that can do what the NYG line does, even without some starters.
NYG Receivers versus Bears D Backs - I think this is where the loss of Brown will become apparent (as well as run support) for the Bears. They have not been challenged like this from a set of quality receivers with an above average QB.
Now I think the Bears have advantages in the special teams and are pretty even when it comes to their receivers versus NYG DB, which makes the game very close.
Should be a great one
I don't think I would rate the Offensive line of the Giants over the Bears Defensive line.
Eli has been sacked 15 times this year. Grossman has only been sacked 6 times.

I do not think Eli is a big question mark.....He has made strides every year...He is money late in the game and has proved it....The thing i like about the giants is that they are getting better all the time.....especially the D
And to anser Monte i would say the sacks given up are not a fair assessment of each of the lines given that the quality of opponent and since the bears are ahead most of the time (the giants have had to play catch up)...it is not a true apples to apples comparison.....
I think we all can agree it will be a good game......(on paper anyways)....
I personally think the Giants are more balanced on both sides of the ball....Their O line is very good and getting better all the time and their D line is sick......
Hold on for a second. First off I agree the Giants are a good team and will be the Bears stiffest test to date. But answer me one question when other teams in the NFl even the so called elite play the likes of the Bills, 49er's, Packers, Lions etc why don't they beat these teams the way the Bears do. Simple answer the Bears are more dominating thean those teams and better. Just yesterday the Giants played a 2-4 team with a rookie QB and beat them 17-3. Now granted Tampa Bay plays hard and plays solid D but still for the Giants to only beat them 17-3 doesn't really impress me.
The Bears schedule is what it is in this league you never know who is going to be good or bad. All I am saying is I don't see anybody else in the NFL beat the teams the way the Bears have.
Mr. Diesel...our giddiness is not based on yesterday's TB game, but would they have been able to do the first 7 games playing what could arguable be called the toughest schedule over the course of the first 8 weeks. Like I have said before, whe it comes to the teams I root for, my glass is always half empty, but this Giants team I think has the potential to be really good, i.e. the class of the NFC. They came out this year thinking teams would roll over for them and didn't back up all their talk, but they have played very well the last 4 games.
As for the Bearts, the D is dominant but for me personally, I need to see a lot more from Rex Grossman before I am sold on him. But him in Giants Stadium on a brisk fall day with the winds swirling, and I like my teams chances, just like I am sure Bears' fans like theirs.

Quality of opponent, Bear blow outs meaning less passes, and the Giants O-Line the last 4 games is much better than the Giants O-Line the first 3 games.
