It was justification for pointing out that they have played a weak scheduale--they have-but the have dominated and desroyed teams. Do you think they would have the same respect from everone and instill fear in opponents is they won all there games by 3?

Let me play devils advocate...cause I know where he's coming from on this.

Lets say that we had to come back and beat San Fran yesterday, or Buffalo (sorry KB), and had very tight games vs Green Bay and Detroit...

There would be a HUGE AMOUNT of people saying how lucky the bears are to be 7-0. When your barely scraping by teams....you don't earn any respect...BUT the way that they are winning 5 of these 7 games NEEDS attention..and for the most part they have.

I see both points clearly.

I see GG points too, but in the NFl where anybody can beat anybody on any given Sunday i do not find the importance of the type of wins.....Like Parcells says if you are 1-7 you are 1-7...there is not a good 1-7...You are what your record states...

And the Bears are 7-0...So they are a good football team....whether they won by 30 or 1......

In all honesty i do not buy into the schedule thing.....I just said that to get the "proverbial ball rolling"

I think to win week in week out.....is amazing......Think about it...Only 2 teams are undefeated.....and the Giants are not one of them.....

When the season ends and the Giants are 9-7 (hypothetical) and the Bears are 10-6, we can not go to the league and say, "but our schedule was harder".....A WIN IS A WIN!!!!

I do not mean to be so cut and dried, but i think to dissect the quality or lack of a victory does no good....And besides there are waaay too many variables.....

Rook----you know i am a ballbuster, but i think this game can shape up to be a doozy......And i am sure both sides can make a valid case....But then again ....thats why they play the games

I thought i heard somewhere that this defense AND offense has better stats through week 8 than the 1985 team did?

Coming out of Florida I thought he would be an average QB. He's never impressed me. He's padded his stats vs very bad competition. In a game he needed to play well on national TV he performed miserably.

This team is no where near the 85 bears IMO.

The 85 bears scared the competition.....the 06 Bears doesn't do that.

I hate those comparisions.....why the media did that is beyond me. I think the two teams are totally different.

But if the end result are the same....I'm a very happy camper.

Wayne...you remember the 85 Bears...do you think they compare? Spark?
