Detroit swept three-game series from Cardinals in June, winning 10-6/7-6/4-1, with same three starters going in order (Verlander-Rogers-Bonderman). Verlander allowed four runs in six IP in his start vs Cardinals. Reyes didn't pitch vs Tigers; his five wins are least ever by Game 1 starter in World Series. American League teams were +48 in interleague play this summer, and are 8-0 in World Series games the last two years, but those are just figures to toss around. Cardinals just pulled upsets over Padres, Mets, and team without home field advantage is 5-1 in series this fall, so don't be sleeping totally on St Louis, though with Leyland having chance to set up rotation, hard to see them losing series.
