Yeah they are bums huh?? What do you say about this??
but over the past decade, Miami has had fewer player arrests or NCAA-related incidents than almost any other major program in the country. Miami has not had 20-plus incidents involving shoplifting, assault, gun charges and failed drug tests over the past two years, as Tennessee has. Miami has not had to dismiss a star player for earning money through a phony job, as Oklahoma has. Miami has not had a star linebacker accused of sexual assault on the eve of its bowl game as Florida State did last year. And Miami's most recent Academic Progress Rate (956) placed it in the top 20 to 30 percent of all Division I football programs.
I say they are just better criminals....They have been getting away with more.
getem brother i guess you are the target tonight as i was last night. It only takes a couple pole smockers to ruin everything, like bover darealdeal and griffeyiblow.
Clever buddy....Did it take you all night to think of that?
Miami gets off with the reputation and they wear it as a badge.....Now when it turns on them they and their fans play the victim......
Coker has allowed the ex-canes back on the sidelines (who davis had banned) and these ex-canes tell these guys they have to get their "swagger back".......
So in my estimation they brought this on themselves....They are poor sports....Stomping on another teams logo and then getting your ass handed to you was great.....
If you want to be the tough guy team...do not cry when it is time to pay the piper!!
Yes, Miami should've kicked at least the guy who used his helmet off the team. That's not my point.
My point is there were people on here who before the suspensions were even handed claiming Miami as thug U and saying their players are all thugs and degenrates. Yes, the Miami of old was known for that, but I don't think Miami of the past 5-10 years should be looked at the same way.
Also, naming a few Miami players who have run into trouble after college makes no sense and is irrelevant. Do you guys want me to make a list of guys who have done illegal shit since they left college? Give me a break. Two Words: Rae Carruth

Jimmy, I guess you are referencing my post...how has the last 12 months not been an embarrasment to the program? And I only mentioned the ex-players in saying that if the program is viewed as a 'problem' program, and if alumni do things to enhance a negative image of the program, it doesn't help. By no means was I saying that the alumni create the image...but I do believe if the program is viewed negatively, it doesn't help that the alumni can't stay out of trouble.

OK:
Ray Lewis
Michael Irvin
I could go on too....
It all goes back to the crediblity of the school and the players that represent that school. Miami has a history like no other school of this kind of nonsense....

I think what it comes down to is that your still a front runner, your teams blow ass and your a joke so I speak for Bover and myself by saying
oh yea :christmas
Well i thinh that you need to go suck a cock or go play in the middle of times sqaure during lunch hour traffic in the middle of the street.. And as far as saying im a joke.. if you think you can prove that then bring it bitch.. If not the STFU and continue to be the old bitch ass "UCONN/RED SOX" fan that you claim you are..
To all the ones that are throwing out Irvin and Lewis and other names out let me ask you this?? Does that hold the university of miami accountable for the stuff that these men have done AFTER they graduated Miami?? IF so then why I ask does this hold UM Accountable?? And if you want to go and point fingers at UM because of this then what does that make other schools look like when men does crazy shit?? Take Mo Clarrett for example.. Does this make OSU a "THUG U" as well?? What about Sherman Williams? Does that make Alabama classified as "THUG U" as well?? My point is what they do AFTER they have left school should have absoutely NOTHING to do with the school that they WENT to.. And honestly to even think that it reflects the school that they attended IMHO is straight up stupid..
they are low class bums because they stomped on someones logo god forbid someone is cocky....i know louisville kicked there ass...but stomping on someones logo doesnt make them bums.
Yeah your right, its all the other stuff they do that makes them low class thugs. I cant believe you and TMAC defending them. Their actions over the last decade show what they are, cocky punk thugs, and the best part about all that is, they are terrible and they still think they can intimidate people.

If you are referring to my post where I named them, I never, ever said that it holds the University accountable because it does not. There is a pattern of behavior at UM unlike any other school and when an alum that is a couple of years removed from the school, is arrested for an egregious offense, imo, it FURTHER tarnishes an already awful image and speaks to the CHARACTER OF THE PERSON that they recruit. If the program was squeeky clean (no program is squeaky clean but they do not have high profile issues) and a couple of people get arrested following graduation (i.e. Ohio State), it does not reflect poorly, imo, on the school. But when the program already has a black eye, or more, and a Sean Taylor one year after graduating gets arrested for pistol whipping and almost killing someone, along with all the other off field problems (not including Najeh Davemport breaking into his ex-girlfriends apartment and taking a dump in the closet ), right or wrong it adds to the public perception that the program is a disgrace.
You mention Ohio State/Maurice Clarett and Alabama/Sherwin Williams...both are single incidents. Tell me about other incidents regarding each school...? Did their football teams get in three fights in 7 games? Did either recruit a kid with 11 arrests before graduating high school? Did their football team make a Rap album about gang sex and rape like UM did a year or two ago? Do their recent alums regular show up in the local paper with mug shots....? Are their Presidents completely clueless as to what is going on beneath their noses?
Let's be honest...I think some of the players like the thought of being a thug. Why else do you do albums and get in basically street brawls at a football game? The players create the image, not the media, and certainly not a poster on Bettorschat.
