even espn said fiu started the shoving....an fiu guy came on the field with a crutch and started swinging it.....i said it before and i will say it agian im not saying what they did was right at all....but a fight broke out...people are gonna jump in no matter what team it is...where are all the threads about clemson and south carolina being a bunch of thugs? i dont remember seeing those anywhere.
You are making excuses for Miami. I don't care who started the fight. As I said before we see fights all the time. Most of the time it's pushing and shoving. What we saw on Saturday was inexcusable. Stomping on players. Kicking a player in the helmet. Swing your helmet as a weapon.
never mind my apology......i dont wear phat farm either....sorry i dont sit here and stereotype.....but i do drive a navigator with 22" rims so maybe i should go buy some phat farm gear.
representin my brotha??? you got spinners boyee???

Why is the common denominator often Miami U?
FIU is equally to blame.
i don't know...let me call michael, ray ray and da fellas!!

i already said what they did was completley wrong....i dont know what else to say....we all have our opinions....like i sadi clemson and south carolina did the same thing....helmet swinging and all.

you are right there....they did do some helmet swinging.....thank God they left their guns on the sidelines
i apologize but i just hate when people start stereotyping
Jeff, it's not stereotyping when Miami time and time again has on and off field incidents.
You and I are buddies but you sound like the Miami announcer. You are condoning Miami's actions by making excuses for them. It doesn't matter who started the fight. Once again, there's no excuse for kicking a play on the ground in the face, stomping on players while engaged they are wrestling with another combatant, and using your helmet as a weapon.
Same is true for the player swinging his crutches.

someone should have kicked that bastard in the bad leg....
Seriously...there should be more than 1 game suspensions but there will not be from Da U because there is always too much $$$ riding on them making some type of bowl....I mean they already get 11 million a year for just being in the ACC

and im not condoning what they did at all...im just saying when a fight breaks out i dont think any team in the country would just stand on the sideline and watch or try to break it up....jmo.

Look for the ACC to step in lengthen the suspensions. One game for Merriweather is a JOKE

I said by making EXCUSES you are condoning.
You can't say "the fight was wrong BUT..............."
Once you say "BUT" you are condoning by making excuses.

JBC..that is what leaders on your team are for....to help make sure the team represents themselves well...I am sure on most saturdays most tempers run high enough to fight (they are playing a contact sport), but rarely does it spill over....and when it does it generally is no more than a shoving match....Cooler heads prevail......But not here....Alot of it has to do with them knowing each other from the streets and talking shit and wanting to be at miami...this was not a surprise i heard on 790 am yesterday...That being the case don't you think this and the repercussions should have been discussed with theplayers.....
But there is a different mentality at Da U and it is all over the commentary by lamar thomas....He is not the exception down here...>This is how ex-players and miami players feel....It is a gang mentality.....Do you think they think in those terms at Ohio State or Michigan? I doubt it....This is not an isolated incident and should not come as a surprise to anyone, let alone you since you live down here.......
It is really hard to believe anyone could really be a Miami fan. What redeeming qualities do any of them have???
You can't say "the fight was wrong BUT..............."
Once you say "BUT" you are condoning by making excuses.
its not like i said the fight was wrong but they should have beat there ass...i just think when players start swinging 99% of the time teammates are gonna get involved.
Here's my two cents worth...
First off it's quite ironic to me that both schools are located in the same areas, Miami-Dade County. If that county fell off my beloved penninsula floated away and established itself as the third world country it has become I wouldn't lose a minutes worth of sleep.
Secondly Coker is TOTALLY to blame. He does not take Character into consideration when recruiting, case in point Willy Williams (arrested during a recruiting visit at Florida, which violated his probation on burglary charge, his 8th arrest I believe but still met the standards at the U). Miami never has.
