big deal Mets will win in 6 instead of 5.
Rainout helps Mets out bullpen fully rested and Glavine pitching after 4 days as well.
How many more titles will the Yankees try to buy it never ends.

Hope you didn't put money on that Dirk. And if you didn't understand from my last few posts today was a great example of Cardinals baseball. Shelling Glavine, dominating pitching, and clutch hitting to name a few things that are indicative of the St. Louis Cardinals. Don't buy those World Series tickets just yet my friend.

P.S. Have fun with Carpenter in Game 6!
The 1927 Yankees weren't the best team ever. What everyone fails to realize is that the year before, with the exact same team, they lost to the Cardinals in the World Series.

Mule, did you see Olver warming up last night in the 8th? Perhaps it was his day to throw on the side, but do you think Willie may go with Heilman if there is a tomorrow? Wouldn't that be a shocker! I just don't think he could give that much but it would be interesting....

I can't imagine him going with Heilman. He hasn't thrown more than 2 innings at one time, all season. His arm isn't conditioned to do that right now.

The only concern, right now, is to win tonight's game. If he needs to use Oliver tonight, he's going to have to do that. If so, I wouldn't be surprised to see Trachsel start tomorrow night, if there is a game 7.

Everything being equal, I would rather see Trachsel out there on full rest than Oliver Perez on 3 days rest.

anyone who starts would be monitored closely, I could see Traschel starting even though he's stunk up the joint so far this postseason.

I agree on Trachsel...just thought it was odd seeing Oliver loosen up last night in the 8th down 2 runs. If he was getting someone up in case the Mets scored 2, I would think he would have gotten Heilman up instead of Oliver. I was just trying to rationalize the action and this was the only thing I could come up with.
