When push comes to shove, I can't imagine him starting Darren Oliver in game 7 of the NLCS, though.Every

El Duque is not on the NLCS roster. However, he was playing catch on Saturday and doing some jogging and says he's feeling good...If all holds up and the mets make the WS, as of now he will be able to pitch...
Darren Oliver would most likely be the game 7 starting pitcher over trachsel according to willie.

Doesn't matter because the Mets won't make it to the World Series. I've loved the fact that everyone has jumped on the Mets bandwagon and that the Cardinals were written off before the playoffs even started. I think they needed to be the underdog to get this far. It seems like every year they're favored they lose. Sports Illustrated picked the Cardinals at the begining of the year to make it to the World Series and the way this series has gone so far I couldn't agree more. The 1927 Yankees weren't the best team ever. What everyone fails to realize is that the year before, with the exact same team, they lost to the Cardinals in the World Series.

The Mets haven't been beating the Cardinals, the Cardinals have been beating themselves like the way they did at the end of the season. I don't think that if the Cardinals play the way they usually do and did play in the 2nd and 3rd game that the Mets are capable of beating them. Plus bandwagon teams never win it all.The 1927 Yankees weren't the best team ever. I'm sure you all are Mets fans. I'm just saying don't be surprised if the "worst" team in the playoffs ends up making it to the World Series. If you look at the playoffs no one has given the Cardinals credit for anything they've done. Whenever they've won a game the media has always said that the Cardinals didn't win it but the other team lost it. For God's sake 11 out of the 12 ESPN "experts" said that the Padres would beat the Cardinals most picking them to lose 3 games to 1. Then most picked them to lose to the Mets 4 games to 1. This Cardinals team is nothing like the great Cardinals teams of the past yet they seem to be doing as good if not better in the playoffs. If the Cardinals do win the World Series, which I don't think they can, it should be considered one of the greatest upsets in MLB history. I am just bitching because I love to see teams that have already been dismissed by the press win and put those jackasses in their place. The 1927 Yankees weren't the best team ever. What everyone fails to realize is that the year before, with the exact same team, they lost to the Cardinals in the World Series.
