Thats about it .. I might have placed Girardi first ... but I see you almost have them in a tie ... I am sick ... Why oh Why can I not pull completely away from these assholes???
I'm cheering buddy. I've always liked the Cubs .... i think that's why i shit on them when i do. If i didn't care, i wouldn't care. I spent plenty of time in August & September shitting on the Red Sox too!
Here's my problem with Pinella...i think Pinella is a short term solution to a long term problem. He won't be around long you wouldn't think....
Now Girardi on the other had could be here for years and maybe god forbid, mold this franchise into a winning one.
Hendry's favorite from the start was Piniella. According to sources, McDonough preferred Girardi, but indicated he would allow Hendry to make the final decision....which I can't fault...however when your letting your GM who's on a one year leash to begin with make a decision like that...it sounds like your wanting a one year solution.
I don't like it...but there haven't been too many things I can say I agreed with in the cubs organization...but I respect Hendry, and hopefully this is the right decision for they're future.
We need a winning team and we need it next year ... fvk the molding shit ...
You respect Hendry?? That makes one of us buddy ... How can you respect anyone in this organization???
BINGO ... My thoughts exactly!!!!
Teams like the NYY, Boston, NYM, Stl, Atl, Cubs Ana., ......... Are not "Allowed" to Re-Build.
They have plenty of Talent on that team to build around people like Zambrano & Lee just for starters. Going position by position, they have talent and players i like. You do not have a payroll and fan base like the Cubs and look ahead 3-5 years. You need to fix this in the offseason and win next year. A Wild Card run at worse is what's going to be expected!!!
Even if Lou is there for 5 years and turns them around, he's done his job!
That's where I make my point...I don't think he's there for anymore then 2 years...maybe less if they don't win next year because Hendry will be gone, and I'm sure Pinella will be gone.
Its not his credentials that I am upset about...I think he can do the job...I just hope that i'm wrong about the length of time he'll be there...and we'll be having the same conversation this time next year.
Why don't you respect Hendry? He's the one that brought in all the right pieces three years ago when the cubs made their run?
he brought Lee in and Pierre in
I'm not sure why everyone is so hard on Hendry..I think he's done his job.
and he is the one that put up with a losing team ... he should have shit canned this manager at the break and you know it John .. come on ... Moves should have been made a long time ago ...
Bottom line .. He did not do his job ... Can you argue with that???
