I think that's a colossal mistake for the Yankees. They may fear that his style wouldn't work with the personnel they have in that clubhouse.

He was out coached by Leyland in the series and the better manager won!
Disagree-For his full tenure Torre in my book gets a Grade A and Francona C+ at best.
The problem is not Torre;its that there are simply too many superstars assembled under one roof;Yanks had a better, more cohesive type of team when they won those WS in the 90's and 2000.
Much of blame lies with front office and Steinbrenner if you want to lay blame.
If you want to use your logic, what manager did better this year with the injuries-Torre or Francona?
Francona has no baseball savvy whatsoever;believe me if Torre had been manager, Sox would not have collapsed during August when the Varitek and others went down.

Give Torre the Ax and take Lou?? Are u fucking serious?? IF they do this then it will be one of the worst mistakes the Yankee Orginazation EVER!! I would prefer Torre to stay if not him them Girardi... Give fucking ARod and his no playoff hitting ass the axe and keep torre and give us some pitching and we will be on the right track.. Giving Torre the axe will be a step in the WRONG direction IMHO..

Don't they try to add a superstar pitcher every year and doesn't a make difference? They either get hurt, too old or don't produce to expectations?

How much fire would you have if you worked for the ass hole that owns the yanks........

He dictates, threatens, trys to buy people off......

TORRE is, and always will be a good mgr for someone in Baseball............

Steinbrenner could have Lou Gehrings Spirit in here as mgr., and he'd be telling him what to do............kapt
