blah blah blah Yanks have been winnin almost 100 a year for 6 years and havent won shit and same can be said for the Cardinals.......that was regular season Tin so this is diff and lets see the Yanks win as many games as the Tigers playin 60 games this year vs Tribe, Twins and WSox.......Central is best division not even close
Yanks fattened up with 40 vs Tampa and Bmore so dont tell me we get KC for a few to end the season...the sched is what it is
Ill take my pitching vs your offense any day of the week
PEACE
OK I REMIND YOU MAYBE AS EARLY AS NEXT WEEK IF THEY KEEP CHOKING
As stated, just check out that starting lineup for Yanks tonight and put it against that of Tigers, and tell me which you like better(objectively).
ps And don't forget it is not like Yanks haven't proven themselves already against Detroit this year with less than their best lineup.
IS THAT WHY DETROIT ONLY WON 1 GAME THIS YEAR AGAINST THE YANKS WHAT WAS THERE EXCUSE

Tigers went 2-5 vs the Yanks this year but almost all went down to the wire and were in doubt in the 9th....get real fellas and quit drinkin to much Kool Aid
Dude I am not stupid enough to tell ya Yanks dont have the best lineup....they do and there is no close second but that dont automatically mean W's
Like I said Ill take my chances with the Tigers.....again Yanks prolly will and should be favored but please dont tell me some BS like its a cakewalk
PEACE
I am simply expressing an opinion like you, and as a Sox fan and Yankee hater, I would love to be wrong.
In all honesty though, I think Yanks are playing up to potential right now, and although I am sure you don't agree, I regard the Tigers as a very good team but in the same breath overachievers to some extent.
Let them prove me wrong in playoffs against Yanks if they meet, and we will both be happy.

your right Savage 158 games into the season Tigers are overachievers.....sorry to try and tell ya otherwise.......can someone please tell the commish's office to make the season 262 games so we can weed out the pretenders

I think the law of averages caught up to them in the last few months of the season.
If I were a fan of any team, I would rather have my team peaking going into playoffs than just treading water as are the Tigers at best of late.
All I can say is in my opinion, you had better hope you play Oakland in the first round and that somehow Twins defeat Yanks(I think they have a better chance than do Tigers 1% against 0% lol)-then you have a great chance of winning the WS.
The best case scenario for a Yechee's early exit is for Minnesota to win the Div and have Det play NY. The Yankee pitching staff is a train wreck at best in comparison to the AL Central especially if you can get to their Pig Pen early. Only their bats keep them in games.
Twins will have Radke back for the playoffs but I doubt his effectiveness will be any better than 3 to five innings and his career problem has been "get to him early or he will shut you down for the game". With the bum shoulder I think you throw that out.
Detroit can go deep with them but their pitching is as young as the Yankmes is old and worn out. Look for a lot of runs unless the kids from Det will ignore the hype and focus.
Twins will fundamentally be in every game except anything Hi Ho Silva is involved in past the 3rd inning. I would use him as a 3 inning starter and count your blessings if he gives you only a shutout or a 2 run deficit which is his MO. He will get shelled on the road in the playoffs by the third or fourth and by the fourth or fifth.at home.
Twins have the best bullpen in baseball. That will take you a long ways. Santana will not pitch again until game #1 and will be available to start #5 if needed.
Garza is great for a youngster and Bonser is over his head right now but both will get you into 5 innings with a chance to win.
Oakland is losing horribly at the exactly the WRONG time much like STL in the NL..............They should be the early out even at home regardless of the opponent.
So to write in Neut Yech is not necessarily a gimme but they probably hold the most cards with and have the biggest John C. Holmes head award for an owner.
SO WHO KNOWS..............I WOULD PUT SOMETHING ON EVERY DOG THOUGH ESPECIALLY IN THE N.L.!
SO CONGRATS TO MINNESOTA, DETROIT AND OAKLAND FOR MAKING THE PLAYOFFS AND LET THE BEST TEAM WIN. EXCLUDING THE YACKOFFMES OF COURSE. GV
I am NOT schizophrenic......and NEITHER am I! Just paranoid that fear may overcome my insanity!
All this conversation is for nothing....They still have to play the games and as we all know....It usually turns out different than we expect...I mean the last 6 have.....
I know there are favorites, but The Tigers are a very very good ballclub and can win.....I just think the Yanks are very good......at the plate anyways......Can't wait to see who is right

YANKS WON 12 AND LOST 7 AGAINST THEM SO CALLED STRONG TEAMS

MINNESOTA PITCHING IS THE ONLY THING THAT I AM AFRAID OF
Baseball as Kapt. says is a game of streaks.
As laughable as it seems right now considering how they have been struggling, I am going to predict Cards right the ship, advance to the WS and then lose in 4 or 5 games tops to the Yankees.
