Still a long way to go, but I'm glad I'm holding a ticket on them to win it all at 20-1.

Thanks TP. My guy confirmed their healthy status and says they have a great chance to win outrite. With my Hawkeye buddy AND you on the Hawks, I am going to play it a little bigger with some on the moneyline. GL...Life is a shit sandwich and every day is another bite. The more bread you have, the less shit you have to eat. I want more bread. May you win all your bets...

Thanks everyone. Off to a good start as South Carolina covers, though I was sweating an Auburn win at the end. Don't overreact - the Tigers are going to kill Arkansas next week - because this SC offense is pretty lethal with Newton playing as he did tonight, and that's the way all SEC road games have the potential to go.
Originally posted by drugstuntmanhow about that first half line of iowa +3.5 ???? they will be fired up to start and should be tied or leading at the half
And not that I put any stock in this, but I dreamt Iowa had several turnovers in the first half, and fell behind 17-0, before storming back to a 20-17 win.Records:

I'm going w/ HEART...kills me to hear you and others go against my Bucks...oh well...hope you are wrong as heck!
I really think you and others are under estimating the Bucks...if they play like they did vs TX, NO WAY Iowa has chance...
Lets see tail of tape:
2OT win on road vs crappy Cuse...
Lackluster win vs ISU...at HOME no less (ISU beat by TX by 23)
Look ahead win vs Illini (Ill beaten by Cuse 31-21)
So by like opponents...Cuse beats Ilini by 10, Iowa barely or LUCKILY beats Cuse hence Iowa not so good...Iowa has to score 10 in 4thQ to even beat ISU who was beaten by TX by 23, while OSU beat TX at TX by 17 & soundly...more computation and analysis says WOW, OSU really GOOD...so, I'll ride the ATS streak, forget what IoWAS trends say cuz those are history or yrs past...take what's happening this year alone since these players care less about teams & players they don't even know...AND
OSU covers...easily!!
Good luck...have to give you crap...not hearing too many Buck backers so I'm going to stand tall and proud!! Go Buckeyes!!
O-H-I-OFUCK YOU, FUCK ME

Disregard the start of the season. This is the game Ferentz and the players have been wanting.
Two years ago, Iowa was 2-2 with one of the wins a close, non-covering win over ISU. The two losses were by a combined 50 points. All Iowa did in its fifth game was take a 33-0 lead and beat OSU 33-7.
There is no team in the nation that shows the importance of home field advantage more than Iowa, and I wasn't surprised at how poorly the Hawkeyes played at Syr and Illinois (I had the latter, should have had the Cuse as well).
Winning at Darrel K. Royal is a lot easier than winning at Kinnick Field (Texas isn't a top 20 team), and I really think Iowa wins this. But, best of luck with your team.Records:

Thanks for all the comments. I really appreciate hearing other thoughts, and the good luck wishes are of course always welcome.

1* Florida Atlantic +14.5 (105)
2* Bowling Green +6 (-101) - Got an e-mail today about the success of teams that had given up 35+ points in a loss as a home favorite today. They are something like 14-1 ATS in their next game if playing an opponent of a win. Also, BG totally owns Ohio, having covered 11 of 14 in this series, and winning the last four by 117 points. Things may have changed a little with these programs, but I don't think they have changed that much.
2* Purdue/ND Over 61 (-110) - Two very good passing teams, two horrendous secondaries, and I think Quinn re-enters the Heisman race - I can see him throwing 5, 6, even 7 touchdown passes against this Purdue defense that he killed on the road (30-39, 468 yards) last season. Now, Purdue has an entirely new secondary, and it's already been rocked by some of the dregs of Division 1. But, I'm not crazy about laying the wood here, as the Boilers will score enough to push this one over (ND gave up 514 yards in last year's 49-28 win - this one should be a similar score).Records:
