  • Week 2, Day 3

I had to sign up at Mansion Sportsbook and take theur free $1000 bet on the Steelers at a Pick today and then turned around and bet Miami +1 at Pinnacle for $491 to win $450.

    This means:

If the Steelers win by more than 1 point, I win $509.
If the Dolphins win or we have a tie after OT, I win $450
If the Steelers win by 1 point, I win $1000.

Not a bad deal, huh? This make my goal for Week 2 a bit easier as I cannot lose with tomorrow's game.

    On to tonight:

Chicago White Sox, laying $175 to win $150

    Reasoning:

I like Jose Contreras to return to his mean tonight (in a good way) after several bad starts and for Kyle Snyder to regress toward his mean (in a bad way) after throwing a gem his last time out. I like the ChiSox to avoid the sweep.

    Week 2: 1-1, -$59
    Week 1: 5-1, +$913

You are not seriously going to claim a sportsbook bonus as part of your winnings, are you?

          No, it's bullshit.

Every sports book I use has paid me a bonus when I deposit money. Should I pad my record to include that money???

I lost money in the BoS/Millenium debacle. Should I deduct that from my baseball record?

This forum has had enough controversy about respected veterans lying about their records. Now, some new guy comes in and says he's going to win $1000 a week and counts the winnings from a FREE play.

It's crap and you won't see me or any respectable poster here doing it.

I have stayed out of every one of the controversies on this site over the last several months and am hardly a troublemaker but this garbage needs to be responded to.

I agree, money is money, but what's the catch? You must have to deposit quite a bit of money to get the free bet, otherwise what do the have to lose unless they have Friday's paper and Miami won the game.

He's doing no more than anyone else here, showing people how to make money. I say if he makes money doing it, he says he went 1-1 or what ever and won whatever he won. Makes a lot of sense to me. If you don't want to to it, don't. Money is money, personnally, I won't be doing it.

First of all if you win, they probably will only pay you around $880 because it's 1000 to win 880 or so, not 1100/1000. It figures out to be a little over a 20% bonus on the $2100 deposit. Pretty normal and they get to pick the game. Nothing great as far as I'm concerned, but it sure looks nice.

I dont believe free plays, bonus plays should be included in any records period!

I don't see a problem with it. His goal is to make money every week, not to have a certain record.

Good Luck ! Earnie on cws

No response needed on your investment advice. Continue on the trek. Nice play on the twins but as usual I jump the gun and returned the favor right back on Oakland.
