I compelely disagree. Hindsight is 20/20. Maybe you yourself thought they were on it but most people never said anything like that. Everyone was so happy baseball was finally important again after the 94 strike that they completely ignored the fact that these two guys looked like they had blown up muscles. I know I am guilty of that. Baseball traded their purity for popularity in the late 90s. deal with the devil.

Another reason the NFL gets a free ride is because the players have always been big. It's hard to realize players getting bigger under all their equipment.

Damn I must be lost here ... your telling me that only a few noticed that these guys were pumped up with juice and if they did know it was OK with them because of the 94 strike?? .. It may have been ignored by baseball but it certainly was not ignored by the fans ... It made money for the owners and that is the only thing that counts with them .. I am talking from a fans point of view .. the owners are just worried about filling the seats ...

The owners are business men. They don't give a rats ass about the players. History has proven they never have.

I know I did. Now I have ZERO respect for Big Mac.

I think it's cause most fans that watch today never saw Ruth or Aaron play. They wanted someone they really knew and watched to top that leader board!

What gave it away for me was when they "found" the Andro in McGwire's locker. I got seriously into working out in my late 20's and I learned all about supplements (over the counter and anabolic).

To me, the andro was a plant by McGwire so that no one would think he was on steroids. There is no way an over the counter supplement (particularly andro, which has never really been proven to have that type of results) could have given McGwire the extent of anabolic growth that he had.

I really think it was 1st called Creatine and he blew it off as just a GNC store product but it started to lead to many other questions ..........

If Ryan Howard is on the juice then I have bigger tits then Dime Bag. The guy has a body like Babe Ruth. Looks to still have his baby fat.

It's a shame that in this day and age, we are now forced to question the production of athletes and question whether they are 'legit' or not.
