I compelely disagree. Hindsight is 20/20. Maybe you yourself thought they were on it but most people never said anything like that. Everyone was so happy baseball was finally important again after the 94 strike that they completely ignored the fact that these two guys looked like they had blown up muscles. I know I am guilty of that. Baseball traded their purity for popularity in the late 90s. deal with the devil.

Another reason the NFL gets a free ride is because the players have always been big. It's hard to realize players getting bigger under all their equipment.Originally posted by Tony VegasNo one every attacks the NFL but there are more players there on HGH than in baseball. Somehow though, that goes unnoticed.

Damn I must be lost here ... your telling me that only a few noticed that these guys were pumped up with juice and if they did know it was OK with them because of the 94 strike?? .. It may have been ignored by baseball but it certainly was not ignored by the fans ... It made money for the owners and that is the only thing that counts with them .. I am talking from a fans point of view .. the owners are just worried about filling the seats ...Originally posted by Tony VegasI compelely disagree. Hindsight is 20/20. The owners are business men. They don't give a rats ass about the players. History has proven they never have.Originally posted by SparkDamn I must be lost here ... your telling me that only a few noticed that these guys were pumped up with juice and if they did know it was OK with them because of the 94 strike?? .. I think it's cause most fans that watch today never saw Ruth or Aaron play. They wanted someone they really knew and watched to top that leader board!Originally posted by Tony Vegasi don't remember that. i do remember the andro but i could have went to GNC and bought it.
i still think the majority of the nation wanted Big Mac to break that record. juice or no juice.

What gave it away for me was when they "found" the Andro in McGwire's locker. I got seriously into working out in my late 20's and I learned all about supplements (over the counter and anabolic).Originally posted by Tony Vegasmaybe it was because i was younger but i don't remember any of my friends or the media saying a word about it.
To me, the andro was a plant by McGwire so that no one would think he was on steroids. There is no way an over the counter supplement (particularly andro, which has never really been proven to have that type of results) could have given McGwire the extent of anabolic growth that he had.Every

It's a shame that in this day and age, we are now forced to question the production of athletes and question whether they are 'legit' or not.Three Jack's Record http://www.bettorschat.com/forums/sh...10#post1323910
