My Giants fan friends always mention that LB injury thing and it is a valid point.

But I always say that those LBs being out didn't have anything to do with the offense being shut out at home in the first round of the playoffs....

Giants look good to me, I just think that with the East being so close this year with every game counting for so much, that the fact that they play such a hard schedule will hold them back.

i am not making excuses since i do not believe in them....however, when a defense is on the field a whole game....combined with an offense being ineffective the results are cumulative...so i have to disagree there.....

the schedule is what it is.....With parity being what it is nobody really knows the true strength of schedule...I would rather concentrate on what our strengths are and play them one at a time....

@ SEA - should have won there last year
@ ATL - overrated team and qb
        @ DAL - not concerned
@ JAX - good team and i am going to the game
@ TEN - they will stink
        @ CAR - tough team
        @ WAS - touigh game....but winnable

They also play 4 playoff teams from last season at home as well as Dallas and Philly again. That's brutal.

For the record, I fully expect a Redskins loss in the Meadowlands and a Redskins victory back at home in the head-to-head matchup.

too much made of the schedule

Ok what are the strengths? How bout QB? brunell? no bledsoe..maybe, lookin good in preseason....manning we'll see...mcnabb has looked great in preseason. How bout D? I think all 4 have good d's....who has the edge? how bout jim johnson, one of the best D coordinators in the game....greg williams, great D coordinator himself. how bout RB? Eagles..question marks, portis, great but we'll see how that shoulder affects him, julius jones? can tiki have another good year?

well vondie....we have never been stronger at the skill positions and this is a year of maturation of eli....everyone says he has more tools than his brother, but that remains to be seen...

our o line is cohesive and veteran
            good te's
            good rb's
            good - wr's
            good d-line
            good - lb's
good secondary (anything would be an improvement)
            good kicker
            good coach

but again....we all make valid points for our squads, but the season never materlializes like any of us think....So to try to figure it out is fruitless.....I personally think the Giants have a good chance as i do the other 3.....It will be a week in week out grind.....Also i have been watching football for 40 years and pre-season play never correalates to regular season peformance, so it is not even worth our breath to say how mcnabb or manning look.....The real players will be ready come the season....Good luck.....
