    I know you all love eagles talk

    anyone listen to the 2 a day's on Mike and Mike in the morning? Well today I wake up to hear them talk about my eagles. I have to admit I have never heard golic sound so stupid. Clearly I am going to be biased, but come on, why is it that the fact that the NFC is going to be so tough, only applies to the eagles? Everyone says "yea they are the same team as a couple years ago but the NFC is better" well yea it is, so why do you give the skins/cowboys/panthers double digit wins but not the eagles? Then he says that we were doing bad before mcnabb went down against dallas...MCNABB WAS HURT ALL YEAR! then you factor in the injuries in the secondary and the weak D line...you have disaster. So this year, say the secondary stays healthy...objectively they are top 3 secondaries in the league. no doubt. Then how bout our beefed up D line? Darren howard, bunkly who has looked nasty in camp.....trent cole is a very solid back up and patterson is playing well. The only thing I agreed with golic on was our RB situation...westbrook NEEDS to be healthy..even though mahe, moats and buck have looked good. I love how he said we are weak at WR and LJ is our "saftey blanket" haha LJ Smith is going to be one of our top recievers. He was right that we have no standout WR but the guys in there can get the job done, LJ is a great TE and with a healthy westbrook he is always a threat. So then they get down to records golic goes 7-9 greeny 8-8. haha, has anyone seen the first half of our schdule??? we could EASILY start 6-2 going into the by week. Then it gets TOUGH. Then golic starts talking about the colts and how they will have "RB by comitee" HAHA apparently 2 people are a comitte now! I have always loved mike and mike but big golic really lost some points with me today.

    I hope everyone takes some time to read that and share some thoughts....1.5 WEEKS!!!!!

      Don't be surprised if T.O. takes the Cowboys down with him and the Giants succumb to a BRUTAL road schedule and the Skins and Eagles are the team making the playoffs from the East...

        I agree with the cowboys comment....I posted in some other thread today, I LOVE! his comments. "I, me, when I'M ready, when I get respect" haha I kills me that everyone says it isn't gona happen this time....in fact, i think golic said that

                    No intelligent insight? Wasn't I the one who just called for the Eagles to make the playoffs?

                    My two comments were the Giants had a BRUTAL road schedule (look it up) and that T.O. has a history of ruining teams. No need to look that one up, just turn on a TV set to any channel at any time of day if you want to hear about.

                    Or visit any website.

                    Or any radio station.

                    Newspapers....podcasts.....I'm sure they'll be talking about him....

                      yea yea...my bad, guess that was more geared toward big bird but seriously though, my one boy is a huge skin fan and while I try to give them respect he keeps saying "skins are cream of the crop in that division" which cracks me up because it comes right after he says "anyone can finish 1st and anyone can finish 4th" I am just so pumped for this season I can't even put it in words. I am just sad the best part of the season isn't until the later weeks, dallas at home, skins at home after the bye week and then @ NFC east...i can't wait to see how it plays out.

                        giants win the division regardless of schedule....coming out year for manning....have all the tools in place.......

                        1) giants
                        2) skins
                        3) cowboys
                        4) eagles

                          Lots of Skins fans think we are the cream of the crop because we went 5-1 in the East last year and made it further than anyone else from the division in the playoffs. 2006 is a whole new year tho. That all means nothing for this year.

                          I just think the media is picking the Cowboys and Giants but it's going to be the other 2 teams going to the postseason for the reasons I already mentioned. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

                            The Giants are obviously very talented but their schedule is incredibly difficult. Look at these road games:

                            @ PHI
                            @ SEA
                            @ ATL
                            @ DAL
                            @ JAX
                            @ TEN
                            @ CAR
                            @ WAS

                            They also play 4 playoff teams from last season at home as well as Dallas and Philly again. That's brutal.

                            For the record, I fully expect a Redskins loss in the Meadowlands and a Redskins victory back at home in the head-to-head matchup.

                              it never works out how people see it.....too many bumps in the road in a long NFl season.....Who would have picked the giants to win the NFC last year.....and then have zero linebackers in the playoffs....in fact 2 guys were starting who were on their couches 3 weeks prior....so anything can happen.....Like you say the skins got on a roll and made a nice appearance in the playoffs.......It is going to be a dogfight....but there are always surprises....some to the upside....some to the downside.....I am not a big eagle believer....i think their time has passed....JMHO
