Any trade Omar makes here on out needs to significantly ellevate their chances of making the WS and winning...and this trade does not do that. They need another starter. I am not ready to pin my World title hopes on John Maine....

Well....if they don't give up any significant talent, it's not the worst thing in the world. You and I don't have to pay Shawn Green's salary and this was all about the D'Backs dumping his contract. I don't get out to Shea too much anymore, so i'm not worried about increased ticket prices because of Shawn Green.

You never know. He could get red hot down the stretch and help make up for the deficiencies in starting pitching.
