This is a good story about a good kid from a big family and your gonna destroy it.

he goes into the stands to give his dad a hug and kiss as well as his mom, and then signs autographs for anyone that was still there.

I'm happy for the kid who woke up this morning in AAA and got to live his dream.

Leave your judgements of the team out of it for once and feel good for a kid who got a chance and took advantage of it on the big stage.

Some guys take sports far too serious. Rook, the Cubs are a team. A team full of strangers. There's not one guy on the team you know personally. Why get emotional over a bunch of strangers?

I'm not sure it's just me...but anyone who is a rabid fan of any team.

But I'll just speak for myself in this case. I DO get emotional over a bunch of strangers, because those strangers play for an organization that I support very very much. It could be the Cubs, Notre Dame, Clemson, Bulls, Bears, whatever....that's the way I get.

That post was made minutes after the game ended, and while I felt really good for this kid, his family who was at the game, and the whole circumstances around it, I got my button pushed with what Spark and Dimer were saying. Dimer knew what he was doing...he does it all the time...lol.

Did I over-react? Probably...but it was a good story for that day in a world where steriods, hold outs, TO, etc overwhelm the sports world.
