Questions and a Comment

I do 90%+ of my wagering on the internet at WWTS. Occasionally when I am away from home, I phone in a net.
Today I was away from home and tried to call in a bet.
I was quickly informed that as of 7/21 WWTS no longer accepts telephone bets.
When asked if it had anything to with the mess with Betonsports and the gambling issue in US, I was told no that it was a company decision only.
I spoke with a supervisor and heard much of the same even though I told of my displeasure of no longer having the option to bet on the phone.
Actually, the supervisor told me that even though I do most of my wagering on the interent, the great majority ofm their companies do not and call in;this would make it even more questionable why they did this;surely they will lose some customers(those who don't use computer).
My questions are:
1) For those of you who use a sportsbook, can you still bet by phone and/or have you always been able to bet by phone as well as interent(I am wondering whether others are following the suit of WWTS).
2) What percentage of your own bets are on the internet as opposed to the phone?
I may close my account or at the very least open up an account where phone betting is permitted.
I can't believe that WWTS DOESN'T know this decision will hurt them, and thus from my perspective, I think there is a deeper reason.
I would appreciate it if everyone answers this questions and provides some insights/opinions as to what is/may be going on with WWTS.

100% of my bets are on the net. I've never called in a bet once. Computers are everywhere and lines are up early. Why bother calling and having to speak to someone? Too annoying for me!

I say they are doing it for costs savings!

Also, why call them and have them type in what you could do? I know they repeat it and all but it leaves more room for a mistake. I personally like to VIEW it myself and know the wager "I" placed is the wager "I" confirmed. The lines are up a day in advance and once my bets are in, they, are in!

Wayne-the ONLY reason I want to call in a bet is if I am not hone, such as was the case today.
Obviously, if I had known that phone betting was no longer permitted, I would have placed the bet on the interent before going out.
However, I still would like to have that option;I don't want to live on my computer(I spend enough time there already).
ps WWTS offered 10 cents for one week ending this week, like that is supposed to be compensation.
I don't use locals;thus I would like to knwo of a good offshore which does accept telephone bets.

I hear you...I have both options through a local...along w/ some off shores...What I hear you saying is there are just times that you are out and need to get something in...I experience this often during CBB, CFB...you just cannot be on a computer all the time or get them in when you'd like...especially if some late breaking news occurs...we will all be faced w/ instant net access whether it's phone, auto in the very near future, so you'll be able to make your plays whenever and wherever...GL

i use youwager.com and i call in bets all the time....i do it quite often because i am not by a computer all the time....alot of times when i am out and about i will get a hunch on a game and i will just call it in....i would be upset if i couldnt do that anymore.

Frank, I hate having to deal with giving my info and all that other shit over the phone. If i'm out and need to place one that badly, i can use the net on my cell phone or just not bother!

There have been several times when i've called my fiance and had her put them in for me. She works with a computer and knows my info and the site. It takes her 2 seconds and i like talking to her more than them!

Savage, laptops, blackberry's, cell phones, and pretty much every hotel in the country gives you access. It's not hard to find!
