  • I Know, I Know ... I'm Cryin' BUT, Schilling got screwed!!!

Buehrle (Ozzie's Guy) Over Schilling??? NO WAY!!!

I realize Mark Redman being here is a joke too but he is the K.C. Representitive.

    The Better Numbers are Highlighted.

    Mark B. vs Curt C.
    ---------------------

    Record - Buehrle (9-5) Schilling (10-2)

    ERA - Buehrle (3.86) Schilling (3.54)

    K's - Buehrle (51 in 116+ innings pitched) Schilling (102 in 114+ innings pitched)

    Walks - Buehrle (28) Schilling (14)

    BA Against - Buehrle (.275) Schilling (.253)

    Runs Allowed - Buehrle (59) Schilling (45)

    Complete Games - Buehrle (1) Schilling (0)

Even if you hate Boston and/or Schilling, you have to admit that the better pitcher was not taken. I also Believe 100% that Liriano should be here. Are people from KC really tuning in to see Redman??? No F-ING way. Get rid of that CRAP and if the game "Means" Something, than send the BEST there! I know ...

I always liked seeing the token Tiger.

BTW Im glad Liriano and Schilling arent going for selfish reasons. Schilling can use the time off to relax and Liriano is now set up to be the first one after the break, hence the 2 start pitcher the week after!

But it is bogus.......Schilling is back to almost Arizona form.

    PEACE

You liked seeing the Token Tiger Pimp but you probably would have watched either way right? Can you make ANY argument for Mark Redman being an All Star? Token players were great when the game was for pride but it isn't anymore.

Very true......but we should give a rats ass......let Buehrle come out and maybe he gets gassed.......with the way Vazquez and Garcia have looked lately and Garland early they look weak in the rotation........I for one dont wanna see any of the Tigers play.......let them rest up and gear up for a huge second half. I know the Red Sox are in for a huge battle in the second half.........BTW Boston really needs to step up and make a deal for Weaver........with the run support he will get I say he wins 10 games easy.......much better than that piece of shit Johnson and maybe he can even beat the Yanks once and awhile

        PEACE

Pimp, PLEASE don't give us Weaver. I can't stand that guy. Wells and Clement are supposed to both be back soon. Neither of them are great but i like them more than Weaver. I would like all the Boston players to skip it as well. I especially would like to see Manny skip it. His head can always use a break!

forget shilling, forget buehrle, whats wrong with verlander? another rookie getting the shaft. almost every game he's pitched he's giving the tigers quality starts. i hope he throws a no-hitter today vs. the A's. then we'll see what everyone says. by the way, don't look for smoltz coming back to detroit. we don't need a starter, unless he goes back to closing.
The difference between genius and stupidity, is that genius has it's limits.

I know we are ALL "Homers" to our team but Verlander and his stats do not match Schilling either my friend. His ERA is a little lower BUT Schilling trumps him in the Record, Walks, K's & Quality Starts! SORRY!

I knew everyone would just jump in screaming for "Their" guy instead of taking a neutral position or giving some stats to back their comments!

Liriano should be starting.....and jarret weaver should have been there if the angels had realized he was a horse in spring training ...
