Out of the guys listed. Forget the stats for a minute, would you really choose him if you needed to close out one 9th inning to Win a World Series? I just couldn't do it, no matter what he has done the 1st 4 months!

if the world series was today i would have to chose Rivera without a doubt. He has been in pressure situations for 15 years wont get rattled.I think 2-3 years from now my answer would be craig kimbrel. His stuff is nasty and i think he is going to turn into one of the best in the game.

Yea but no one has been betting the pirates either... Come on he at least deserves to be on the list.. How can you even deny him that..

I could poll 1000 baseball fans on the street and i doubt if i asked the question with no multiple choice that even 1 would pick him. Maybe if he does it for 3 or 4 years, he'll be on the list. Until then, no way. I had to put Kimbrel on there because he set a Rookie record for Saves before the All Star break.

It's a no brainer to go with the Hall of Famer-Mariano

Don't poll the people in Pittsburgh then.

And you did say one game.... Does that mean today currently... You include a rookie but not a guy that has zero blown saves and plays for lowly Pittsburgh...26-26...just saying buddy... Yep probably tomorrow he will blow a save! I just totally jinxed him!

That Rookie leads MLB in Saves and like i said, set a Record before the All Star break. I could ask 1000 people outside of Pittsburgh who the Pirates Closer is and 75% wouldn't even be able to name him. It's obvious that every City would pick their own.

I picked Rivera. Like some others, this is a no brainer for me until the guy retires. Never seen a more consistent closer in my life. They have known what he is gonna throw for nearly 15 years and to this day, they still can't hit it!
