kb and others have thought of late that maybe more people would sign up here and more people would get involved if only Members could read threads. If you are not a Member and not logged in, you see nothing. Many hate seeing it when it says 40 Members and 200 Guests here. They would rather have those numbers reversed.

That means we would basically lose all "Guests".

Do you think it would force more people to sign up and not only view the forum, but also get involved?

Vote Yes to see it as a "Members Only" viewed forum.

Vote No if you like it as is with "Members and Guests" viewing.


Monte sounds like he would be willing to try it depending on the results.

i like it wayne and boss-HAVING TO SIGN IN-agree more people might get involved-remember when all the guys use to meet in vegas and stuff-JUST MY 4 CENTS BUT THINK ITS A GREAT IDEA !!!!

I have mixed feelings on this .. I also feel many of the guests are members that have been banned .. I feel that many are members just not signed in ... is this going to get them to post?? I do not think so ... Is forcing a new viewer to register to view the forum a good idea?? maybe, but it still does not mean they will post ... is it worth a try out?? It may cause some guests to never return

I know when I am searching for something and it makes me register I just move on ... what do we have here that is going to make someone register without viewing first?? and like I said earlier after they register what is going to get them to post??
Maybe we should just make "Members Picks" a register only forum

We have lost some great members on this site for one reason or another ... some will never post here again ... some, I feel, will in time ...

I am going to suggest something here that Wayne may not agree with ... I think maybe we should unban a few and see what happens ... I know unbanning people in the past has not worked out very well ... but I think that may bring some life back to the forum ... People change, hopefully for the better

I like Sparks idea about un-banning some people, let them back, it will liven up the place.

I agree-many folks just want the picks and don't want to engage in conversation about anything.
If and when they do, they will join on their own accord.

Leave it open. Making people join does not promote posting nor does it change a thing in regards to anything except a user name. Also if you shut the site down to members only or join or don't come in people may not join because they can't test ride bettorschat so to speak. How many of us test rode BC before joining.

It gives people the opportunity to see what BC is all about.
I think we need some other ideas as to gain membership and things that will attract people and KEEP them here.
