They win a Cup and now it's the toughest?
You know what, you are probably correct ...

one could argue nba, just based on how few teams have won in the past 25 years...

i'd go with superbowl, just based on how few teams make playoffs, one and done format, and the salary cap. also, offense and defense are mutually exclusive, and one player cannot carry a team as much in the other sports.

This is such a no brainer. Try going through the physicality of one NHL game let alone having to win 16 (and 4 best of 7 series) to win the CUP. Dont see fluke teams win it all like you might with NFL or any other one and done format. The better team wins a best of 7 series hands down. Nothing is more of an all out battle toughest trophy to win in all of sports always has been especially with the cap. Anyone who thinks MLB is drinking, with no salary cap Yankees buy talent/Championships. NBA would be a close second with all this being said in similarity however who knows what kind of shady stuff goes down in that league. Thought this question was a given answer to any sports fan? Watch the blood, guts, and battles of NHL players in the two month postseason and you'll find out for yourself what is the toughest when it comes to all aspects of being an "athlete"

Gotta love the bias in here with 15 votes for SuperBowl. Yeah toughest trophy in sports to win eh? Get weather, turnovers, or one crucial player injured for that one and only game you have to win in your favour, with these factors all primarily being based on luck. Then, just have them in your favour for 2 more games (if you get a bye) and you win it all! How can 15 people think a sport that gives you a buy and have to win only 3 games be the hardest? LMFAO are you flippin kidding me?!!?!

I agree - in fact, I thought it was common knowledge that the Cup has always been the hardest trophy to earn in all of sports and there has never been that much debate. Football is my favorite sport, and I'll always like it more than hockey, but I know for sure that winning that trophy is nowhere near the arduous task that it is in the NHL.

they all have there own challenges. Baseball you can "buy" the title. However the season is long and only 8 teams make the playoffs were hocky 1/2 the teams make the playoffs but playoffs are brutel.

Football one year you can be 3-13 next year 13-3 but one lose in playoffs and your done. If you lose then your done no chances with extra games 16-0 means nothing if h lose in superbowl. I honestly can't decide.
                        Good Luck to everyone

Richie: Something that makes your pee-pee smaller.
