In my opinion Blyleven should go in before schilling
    Nice points

If BlyLeven isn't good enough for the HOF neither is Schilling.

And why aren't these 2 in the HOF either?

I'm torn on this one, but the most impressive stat in my mind in the Yes column is this one:

"There have only been 10 seasons in history where a pitcher has won 20-plus games, struck out more than 200, and walked fewer than 40. Schilling did it three times, in 2001, 2002 and 2004."

Top 5 in K's 8 Years, leading the league twice. He also led the league 4 times in complete games and was in the top 3 for complete games 9 times. He was No. 1 in SO to WALK Ratio 5 times between 2001-2006.

In 1993 he was the NLCS MVP, 2001 he was the WS MVP and in 2004 he broke a curse.

I really think his numbers are better than most think.
I understand your points, but you have taken let call it a 15 year career (1992 - 2007) and boiled it down to the 8 I repeat 8 good seasons (seasons where he went over 200 IP) he had in those 15 years. The other 7 years are not hall worthy, and this doesn't include the first 4 years of his career. So that being said he looks more and more like Don Mattingly.

            He had a .500 or worse record 88-91, 94, 96, 00, 03, 05.

            His ERA was over 3.50 in 88, 89, 91, 93-95, 99, 00, 05-07

No doubt a good pitcher, but a HOF??

Don Mattingly had back problems and couldn't turn on the ball like he used to so his #'s dropped way down thus him retiring early. Putting this out there as he was my favorite player of that time period.

Bert Blyleven and Jack Morris have to go in the Hall b/4 this guy
Blyleven is in the top 5 in strikeouts, 287 wins....and played on so so teams...
schilling gets WAY TOO MUCH HYPE!

Blyleven played like 22 years and he was an All Star 2, yes 2 times, in 22 years. He also only won 20 games once and he was never considered much of a power or dominant pitcher in his day. He is one of those guys that played forever and built wins. He didn't get any of those numbers because of dominance, it was longevity. Big difference.

I'm all for a Jack Morris debate because his resime is much better and he should be in, in my opinion.

As far as Blyleven having to be in before Schilling? PLEASE ... Look at the lack of dominance and tell me what made him a HOF Pitcher. I don't see it.
