I just wish verlander was pitching instead of freddy garcia.....I doubt i've won a single wager on verlander all year .... I would've loaded up on the whitesox and whistled while I walk to the bank

I really don't think Detroit gives 2 shits about this game or the White Sox season.

One thing you know for sure is that the White Sox will put their best lineup out there. Can the same be said for Detroit? I doubt it .......

You could be right, but carryover effects to next year don't always pan out-last years Colorado Rockies are a prime example.

If that is true, then how come they won 3 of 4 from Tampa Bay, and nearly won the last game?
Why wouldn't Leyland put his best lineup out there? His team isn't going to playoffs, and thus there is no need to rest anyone.
If he doesn't put his best lineup out there, he will be under a lot of criticism from the Twins and probably the league.
ps I will be disappointed and shocked if the Tigers through out a minor league lineup such as our Red Sox threw out today(obviously, the Sox could justify this, as they are getting ready for playoffs).
ps Remember the last regular season game for Pats last season when they were shooting for a perfect season, when it was felt Giants wouldn 't give a shit because they were getting ready for playoffs?;Giants gave it their all, played their regulars and almost won!

Pay attention to the lineup like Wayne said here....is Polanco back? Make sure Granderson, Miggy, Ordonez & Sheffield start. FA Garcia wants to stick it back to his old team and is also pitching for a contract next season so you know he will be mentally ready. Tigers pen and Sox pen arent worth a lick these days so the game comes down to Floyd and Floyd only IMO.......Floyd started the season on fire and really hasnt been awful all season but he hasnt been his dominant April-June form either.......if you choose to back the Sox I think the under would be the logical choice....if you choose to back the Tigers I assume the over would be the logical choice because I am near certain Garcia can not pitch beyond 6 frames........White Sox should have no problems scoring 3-5 tomorrow so basically it depends on how many you think Floyd will allow....trust me you do not want to see anyone in the Sox pen besides maybe Linebrink, Dotel, Jenks because the rest are brutal. I would personally play the Tigers and the Over in a parlay just strictly for the big payout because the Tigers bats have shown some decent life over the weekend but I am going to have a look at the lineups before I make a play......no way in hell I back the Sox at over $2.

                  PEACE

Those lineups were brutal.....I saw the lineups at 7 and still played the Red Sox & the Over 10.5.....I figured with these lineups and a line of 10.5 they are begging for action on the Under and it was a loser but I wasnt 2 mad since the Red Sox pulled it out for the split.

                    PEACE

savage 1st off, the games over the weekend were regular scheduled games and more importantly, at home. I'm sure at home that they want to give their own fans something for their money. They knew they had to play those games all along. They really didn't know they had to take this flight and play THIS game until yesterday. What happened over the weekend and today are two totally different animals (IMO).

This is win or go home for the White Sox. You might see more starters coming in after Floyd. There is no guarantee that Ozzie uses that bullpen before Dotel and Jenks!

I think the White Sox bats get to Garcia today.

Long story short....if you MUST play this game (and all us degenerates must) You gotta take the tigers...why lay 1.5 runs on a team that is in a must win situation. you certainly aren't going to lay 250 like pimp said. Take the +235 and try your chances....why wouldn't the tigers want to knock out the white sox?
                          1 = $25

The point is that Tigers are paid professionals, and I think iof nothing else, Leyland will stress the importance of trying to win this game because of its importance and play it accordingly;also, this is a regularly scheduled game;it is no different than any other game which was rained out during the season which is being made up-the only difference is that is is being played the day after the regularly eason ended.
Also, if what you say about Tigers playing hard against Tampa only because they were home, then why did Florida play like hell over the weekend against the Mets, win 2 of 3 and knock them out yesterday? Afterall, they weren't home, were out of contention and could have packed it in?
Why did KC play hard against the Twins and win the first two games-they were also on on the road and could have said the hell with it?
Hey-Chicago might win 20-0 today, but I don't feel it will be because lack of effort and because the players and Leyland aren't trying to win;the latter would probably play a Spring Trainign Game like the last game of the World Series.
I myself am looking forward to this game;if I am wrong, and Leyland throws out an Spring Training league team to play it, I will be very much disappointed, and he will come under huge criticism from everyone except the White Sox.

savage, I couldn't read past line 1 (Paid professionals). You lost me there. Since when do these "Paid Professionals" always do what they are paid to do????
