You like Buffet? Here's what he says about taxes for the rich, which Obama plans on doing. Taxing those that make above $200k....

Warren Buffett, the third-richest man in the world, has criticised the US tax system for allowing him to pay a lower rate than his secretary and his cleaner.

The 400 of us [here] pay a lower part of our income in taxes than our receptionists do, or our cleaning ladies, for that matter. If you’re in the luckiest 1 per cent of humanity, you owe it to the rest of humanity to think about the other 99 per cent.”

Mr Buffett said that he was taxed at 17.7 per cent on the $46 million he made last year, without trying to avoid paying higher taxes, while his secretary, who earned $60,000, was taxed at 30 per cent. US government policy had accentuated a disparity of wealth that hurt the economy by stifling opportunity and motivation.

          • I wonder if Bush is sitting there thinking.....We now have a Liberal president, a Democratic House and a Democratic Senate, and the majority of the blame goes to me and my failed policies?

            I doubt it....

I think he's right on the money.....The 5% in this country who have 90% of the wealth, don't pay near the same tax % as you and I. The middle class has always bore the burden of the taxes.

Poor people don't make enough to pay a large % and wealthy people have loopholes to get out of paying their fair share. Middle gets stuck with it....

It's why the wealthy have always shot down the flat tax rate. They don't want to pay what everyone else does....

I agree with that but I think the middle class who are out working should get the bulk of it not the poor who could be working but choose to sit there lazy ass at the house.

                    • Tax the guys who bust their ass and work harder and are smart enough to make the coin so the lazy ass fucks can get a free handout. Makes no fucking sense to me.

I agree too, but some around here would call you a Socialist for having those beliefs. Which is ridiculous.

There are a lot of poor people who work their asses off and make nothing. Remember that.....tough to pick and choose.

I don't have a problem with them being taxed a little more but it shouldn't go to free handouts for the jobless who could get a job.

It is tough to pick and choose but if someone didn't apply themself in getting an education or working hard to get themself out of poverty than I don't feel sorry for them.I know a black lady right now that works two jobs to pay for her son to go to a private school so he can have a chance to make it.she should get a tax cut for sure but someone else who is working at taco Bell cause it's easy and they have no goals to make it than fuck em they shouldn't get help.why should we help them when they don't want to help themselves.
