I also do not believe something like this could ever be put together without somebody blowing the whistle on it before or after the incident. It would take too many people and too much planning for it to stay a secret imo.

If you think that a government would not do such a thing to their own country and people then just look up (OPERATION NORTHWOODS) these are declassified documents that the government drew up, planning a false flag operation, they were going to bomb their own planes, streets, people etc and blame it on Cuba so they could then invade Cuba. the documents were obtained by George Washington university's national security archive and have now been made public.
