Like I said you liking her is no suprise to me. The 100 dumbest most idiotic statements made by politician in the past 10 years were made by her. I would be personally embarrassed if this woman represented my district.

Your right you are entitled to your opinion but if any politician stood up made dumb after dumb remarks, statements and was as uninformed as this person is, there is no way in hell I would vote for her.

Hopefully the other people in minnesota are tired of her ridiculous, idiotic comments and will realize she is a clown and kick her ass out this year.

I dont believe in stooping. I have stayed above the fray as long as I have been a member and I think certain people here appreciate that. I try to be a cool headed individual and simply call it like I see it. There are plenty of good people on here like you and Kaz and vitter. I think a good healthy discussion can enlighten minds even though you cant change them.

This whole thread is about a government official stating that she thinks BP should stand up and say they shouldn't get fleeced over there mess. That IMO is wrong. BP cut corners which our Government allowed them to do so BP should fix this damn mess.

BP has said repeatedly they would clean up the mess. that doesn't mean they should get fleeced by anyone trying to make a easy buck. where is the govt liability in this? don't they make money and have oversight in oil production? that's being conveniently glossed over by this administration.

How do you compensate a fisherman who shows little to no income? Or doesn't file taxes? How do you measure loss in income at a hotel? How can you say oil spill and not economy? Or economy and not oil spill? Legit claims should be honored, but now a "3rd party" will be the judge? I wonder who will be appointing those people?

i heard today it's not a 3rd party, it's the govt! the guy that was the "pay czar" is going to be heading it from what i heard on the radio today.

you are right and i said it before, this isn't something that can be done quickly. each claim has to be checked. i saw a guy on tv saying he had 60 employees, now has 8, and "lost" 1 million dollars the past month. BP said they were sending him a one hundred and something check. he may have taken in 1 million, but not MADE 1 million. there is no way he should think BP owes him 1 million dollars. go by tax returns and that is what you get. if you are working off the books, too bad, you get nothing for doing something illegal. that's the price for cheating to make a extra buck!

Problem is that "in a rush" to "help", and with the public outcry, plus someone else's money, there will be zippo oversight. Didn't learn anything from the thieves in NO getting their debit cards. Some could have sold the stolen flat screens!!
