I cannot believe that bitch would make those claims when a lot of her own people are still waiting on the cash from the settlement from the Exxon Valdez spill.

          wow

speechless. Im not going to call you any names but this has got to be one of the least intelligent comments ive ever seen.

Billions of dollars lost, a whole eco system hurt, thousands could lose their job, BP balking about paying for it, republicans trying to figure out a way to limit bp's liability and your response............

Shit happens????? That speaks for itself.

keep backing big business while thousand of hardworking fishermen down there are getting fuckd.

but like you so eloquently said, shit happens................,..

I have solar panels on my roof and drive a hybrid. I have huge trees in front of my house in an effort to block sunlight from hitting the front of mt house, thus cutting energy cost because my house is in the shade. The solar panels still get tons of sun light, and my energy bill has gone down over 70% since I installed them. your right, shit does happen, but BP refused to put a burner that would have cost them 500,000 bucks that could have stopped the leak. Maybe it wouldn't but a $500,000 dollar gamble is one worth taking because the cost they're going to have to pay now is through the roof, and I'm not even going to mention the damage done to the enviroment. The attitide your presenting is one in which our country cannot afford to have anymore. We were given this beautiful land by GOD and it's our duty as humans to attempt to preserve this land for everyone that comes after us. BTW, I do fly, when I have to, but I do try to cut my carbon footprint in every other aspect of my life. I also have 2 acres of land that I'm growing veggis on in order to cut down on my food cost and to cut down on the energy it takes to ship those goods, and to grow veggis (Industrial farmers use more energy like natural gas and oil than any other group of people). Since I've done all of this I have a lot more money to play with, and I enjoy wagering some of it on sports. You should all give it a try. I think my lifestyle should be appealing to conservatives because of the amount of money that I'm saving from living the way that I do. Not only am I using less energy, but I'm saving money at the same time.

Out of curiosity what do solar panels run?

On this BP situation I don't get why they didn't have a back up valve or two. Or some kind of backup plan so they could shut the vein down if a problem occurred.

you can pay a lot of money of you can do it yourself. I saw this ad on youtube, and did the latter. I spent a total amount of around 700, but some of that was spent on labor.

I heard that they were trying to shoot golf balls in the pipe no in an attempt to clog up the pipe. I wish I was joking, but it's the truth.

As much golf as Obama plays maybe he can hit the balls in the pipe for us.

I could be wrong, but isn't there a law already on the books putting a cap on monetary damages? I know BP has "pledged" to pay all claims, but I HIGHLY doubt that is going to happen.

good to see MM posting things from dem sites. we know there isn't any bias there.

hunny how dem's here complain about rep's posting things from rep sites, but no complaining about people on their side doing the same thing. then there is always the ONE person says something, and that means ALL rep's feel the exact same way.
