the guy is a fraud. he's indoctrinating people on his show every night. I watch him because I like to see what and where people that do not read get there news from. he is making this country worse. Yes, he has high ratings, but that does not mean what he says is true. News should be based on good journalism and truth, not ratings. the fact that news is based on ratings is what is making people in this country dumber than a lot of them already are. there is nothing worse than an idiot that feels like he know what he's talking about because he watches Glen Beck every night.

That's what your missing, Beck isn't a news show. He is a commentator, not a journalist.

Beck and Rush are far from jokes. They are two of the most successful political commentators the word has ever known, especially Rush. You may disagree with them, that's cool, but millions do agree with them and it is a little silly saying these guys are jokes.

I'm not a Hannity fan either for the exact reason you point out, he just hits the talking points too much and it gets tiring.

I have my own theory on guys that listen to rush, hannity and beck. it is my theory why right wing radio and conservative fox news gets the highest ratings. To me, most conservatives need to be told how to think. That is why you hear all these right wing commentators spouting almost word for word the same thing. They will use buzzwords and phrases like" socialism" or "ramming health care down our throats". the will run the same sound bites... all in an attempts to feed right wingers and tell them how to think.

Most liberals will not even pay attention to radio and liberal commentators because liberals like myself think on their own. its like this... even right wingers still defend bush and cling to reagan even though both were not good Presidents. They never see the faults. I am a liberal who voted for Obama and can say he is not doing a good job so far. A year into his term has not been good. I can see that... but the right wing can never see when their party fails like it did for 8 years. Say what you want... bush put us in a terrible position and i am willing to give obama more then 1 yera to fix it. The same way i was willing to give bush a chance to make things right and he was a complete disaster and will go down as the worst president in american history.

Rush and beck are jokes because its all the same garbage. Obama can come out tommorow and cure aids and cancer and they would still complain because he is a liberal. That is why they are jokes. Like Maddow, Olberman, ED and Matthews don't do the same thing using their own "talking" points? At least Fox does bring on dissenting views on most shows. The same can not be said consistently for MSNBC. Other then the token Buchanon. These people are commentators and entertainers.

It grows louder and stronger and more hateful as the years pass, share and advertising dollars feeding it with no end in sight.



With this radio issue alone, I can find virtually no one who would like to see legislation to make it fair. In fact, fairness (unless it involves affirmative action) has now become synonymous with Marxist communism and is considered an un-American Activity. It is now whoever has the most money wins, reinforced recently by the Supreme Court decision that free speech can be bought.



The only answer I hear to this problem and our overall move to The Right is that someday, by magical means, the pendulum will swing back. Perhaps, but think hard of what happened in Germany during that wait. The parallels to the political propaganda are amazing. If you doubt that, tune in Rush Limbaugh any day you chose and replace the word Jew with Liberal and see how it goes.
