I want to make it clear that I do not believe hcare is a race thing. I was just trying to point out that it's healthy for us to talk about race more than we do. we can learn from one another through discourse.

I thought you would agree with that Vols. Maybe Celts was a little over-the-top in his comments, but I guess there is some truth in what he's saying if people like Vols fan agrees with the notion he put forth. I'm not saying that I believe race is the reason people are against healthcare, but there are a lot of people out there like Vols fan that believe that way. Yall can call me whatever you want, but I live in Birmingham, and there still is a lot of racism down here, and all throughout the country. So, if we all want to dismiss Celts for being crazy, then so be it. We may feel better about ourselves, but that hinders from our progression. Again, I don't believe race is a huge issue, but to a lot of people it still is.

Dude, WE HAVE A BLACK PRESIDENT for crying out loud........enough with trying to find excuses for why people are against this terrible healthcare plan. The plan sucks, that's why people are against it, not b/c he is black.

you're missing the point. I think Celts was a little over the top, but in doing so, he proved how people like Vols fan really thinks. You have been waiting to get at me for so long, it took you 30 sec to reply to my post. I SAID I DO NOT THINK HCARE HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH RACE, BUT TO SOME PEOPLE IT'S STILL AN ISSUE. READ, LISTEN, OPEN UP YOUR EYES. I really don't believe anything you say anymore: 110% of Americans don't want hcare. HA, youhave no idea what's in the bill because you haven't read it yet. Then only thing you've done is turn on the radio and watch the TV-ANY BOOB can do that.

Did Vols say that? I think he meant what he said in post #21 this part "but against all colors who sit on there ass and live off us taxpayers"

So if less than half the American people are for this, why are the Dems considering using a questionable tactic to ram this through? Fuck it, don't answer this, I'm too tired to care anymore. I really just assume they do cram it through b/c at the midterms the Republicans will just run on overturning the bill and will retake control of both the house and senate. That's it, I'm now for the Dems to cram this through via reconciliation!!!!!

that would mean more than 50% are against it. Last time I checked that would be a "simple majority" or 50 plus 1 as dear leader said.
