Earth has been around for millions of years. the actual sample size of data we have is far far to small to make any justification. Any other info is just "speculation" at best. Dendrochronology is one way. Isotopic dating is another. There are any number of ways to reconstruct climate data that don't involve a thermometer.

Closing your eyes and covering your ears and saying the movie doesn't exist doesn't make it any more true.

how are these proven? They are all theories based on best guesses YES? They are "estimates" yes? Also being so naive to think that man has the ability to actually make a substantial impact on climate is comical. If you really want to get down to it first of all their arent enough ppl on this planet to make a difference one way or another with regards to climate change.

All science is based on best guesses at some level, but at some point when the guesses coincide with the truth over and over and over again then they become difficult to deny. Similarly when entirely different methods of measuring temperature all point the same direction, it becomes difficult to ignore.

I think the naivety is believing that 7 billion people couldn't possibly have an effect.
