No, they don't that's why they have corps over in the cayman islands. Buffett even said the tax laws have too many loopholes. He paid like 15% taxes and his secretary paid way more % and made way more money.

Citi group and bank of america have hundreds of subsidiaries corps over in the cayman islands and that's so they can pay as little taxes as possible. When exxon made that record breaking profit for a quarter they only paid around 15-18% taxes.

this is why i have always been in favor of a flat tax. politicians will never go for it because they would loose all their power (equals donations and jobs for relatives and themselves after leaving office) over what co's pay in taxes.

so much is made about tax breaks for small businesses. EVERYONE that i know that has a small business manipulates their income, expenses, and other things to actually make as little money as possible. that goes for co's with millions in revenue to 100,000's in revenue.

like i have said many times, i don't agree with things ETHER party pushes. i just want govt out of everyone's business!

yes but even if that is the case do you realize that the top 10% of the income earners in the USA pay 80% of all income taxes. And those who's combined income is over 100k they pay over 95% of all income taxes in america. explain to me how that is fair?

if you really want to get ppl pissed off. How bout a flat tax on everyone. If you get $$$ everyone pays 30% tax. Then wait til you see poor ppl who get 30% less in their welfare check freak the fuck out!!!!

it would be a lot less than 30%, and it should be more for higher income individuals than working poor.

i don't like capital gains tax to be different than other taxes. it should just be included with all other income.

just one question. Why should it be higher for higher income individuals? isnt that how it is now? The way i look at it is why not tax everyone equally? Why should a Dr have to pay a higher % in taxes than someone who works at walmart? Is it just because they can? If so how is that fair to the Dr?

i am mostly talking about people making a lot more than most doctors, and everyone's would be a lot lower % than it is now. do you thing a billionaire should pay the same % of their income as someone just getting by at mcdonalds?

i am going to start a thread about the inheritance (death) tax. people will be surprised with my opinions on it, but i would like to hear others opinions first.

There aren't any games that I like so I will try to address this issue. % wise a doctor that has a professional do their taxes will pay less in taxes than their secretary. That is based up on shelters that is available if you have disposible income. A lot of peoplse has tax shelters... People who live paycheck to paycheck has less disposible income. So they do not have anything to say....

Too many lobbies (CPA, Attorney, Bankers, and many more) have always killed this common sense solution. The IRS would be cut by 75%.
