If people had asked the President to put the negotiations on CSPAN out of the blue, I would agree with you. But a President who promises this, then backs away the entire process (back room deals, not on the floor debating) and you are sadly ok with it. kaz how long after the bill is merged do you think it should be available to the public and congress to read?? word is this bill will be nearly 3 thousand pages. once a new bill is established everyone including the public should have lengthy time to read it and see what exactly is in it. Do you agree? There will be changes that both dems and repubs dont like. This bill isnt just another bill its 1/6 of our economy. I guarantee you though it will be rushed threw and within 24hrs of the compromise Nazi pelosi will want a vote on it. PPL will be voting on a bill they never actually read.....how is that transparent?

That leaves 15million people total. there are over 300million people living in the USA
so that means because 15million ppl dont have healthcare the 260million who do should have the entire system ruined and taken over and run by the federal govt??? By the way lets not forget to mention that this bill is 100% unconstitutional.

You didn't ask me, but I hate the handouts. I think the system is flawed. I think people should receive unemployment, but only if they are seriously looking for a job. I think unemployment is about half your salary, so that's about right, it's not easy to live on half of what you were making. Veterans should get more, not necessarily more money, but more free shit, like food, housing. And I think everyone should get healthcare. You don't think people should get healthcare?

There's nothing good about it, except that insurance companies are getting rich.

Answer me this.....Why is it that the best health care in the world are all in countries with either socialized medicine or universal health care?

This isn't a perfect model, and changes need to be made, but if it is left up to the Conservatives with the interest of insurance company lobbyists, who've lined their pockets over the years, we'd never have health care for everyone.

I hope they ruin this wonderful system we have or outrageous costs, no one affording insurance, maxed out emergency room, etc, etc....

We arent rich far from it. I have a mortgage,credit cards,student loans,auto insurance,heath insurance,phone bills,grocery bills,auto expenses and on and on all of which we try our best to pay. If i had more in my check each week i'd have more to pay towards my debts. Fact is our money is going to support lazy slobs who do nothing but sit on their asses all day and complain that they dont have enough free stuff. kaz do you even know what you are talking about? i have a good friend who lives in england. He works for Titlist. Do you know what he tells me about universal healthcare? He says its nothing but a bunch of bullshit. Everyone in england has to have the govt issued healthcare. It comes right out of your check. Then if you were to go to a govt Dr. just to get a regular check up it could take 6months or a year. If you need a surgery or an MRI you wait anywhere from 3-6months minimum. In america you wait days. I know cause i had back problems. What he does and many who have money is purchase private insurance and go to a privately run practice so they can get necessary treatment. So before universal healthcare he paid only for his health insurance. Now he is forced to pay for "universal care" then on top of that he pays for his private care. so now he is paying 2x. just to get the coverage he had prior to universal care. So his take home pay is now less then before. Not cheaper one bit. I guess in your eyes though that is fair.
