yep lets break it down though for kaz. the figures are just made up not actual Dr salaries.

lets say a DR does 100 heart surgeries in a year. each costs $5,000 that = $500,000 in salary. Govt will pay 100% of that cost.
here is where it gets fun. Every additional surgery that the Dr does in that year the Govt will ONLY pay 20% or $1000 each. Point is what incentive does a Dr have to do more than 100 surgeries in a year when 80% of the bill will never be paid to the Dr. ????

Govt will say well you make enough $$$$ so this is fair. Who is the govt to decide that?

I'll break it down for you Bry. Ask any doctor and they will tell you that the majority of their costs come from billing and health insurance administrative costs. Health insurance administrative fees total $31 billion per year! $31 BILLION!!!!!

With universal health care, you take a majority of that away, and the answer is obvious. More money for them. Health care reform help to eliminate those kinds of costs to doctors overall.

WOW!! Just spent an hour reading this entire thread.The proposed Health Care BLOWBAMA is pushing down are throat's is a joke!! This is suppose to be the land of the free,the land of opportunity.Bullshit!! This country is being taken over by the government.Bailout after Bailout!! The delays and moving back the deadlines were all b/c of dems, not repubs. Enough bribe money needed to be handed out to get the 60 votes. So how can the repubs stop this? It's been the infighting that has caused the delays and extensions; not repubs.

But you don't seem to be able to stay on the topic of lies by our President. And then writing that votes and tallies don't need to be on C Span. Who asked for that? What was promised was the sausage making, but with all the bribes in here, it won't happen. Are you really trying to convince anyone it has been the fault of the repbs that this bill has taken so long in 2009? Did they have opportunities to do something and didn't in the past? Harold. The entire debate in Congress has been on Cspan. It's been on for months. The only portion that will not be are these negotiations between the house and the senate. DO I need to post the stories from Cspan???? We've gone over this a thousand times. I don't really care. It's completely ironic how up in arms the Conservatives are that this is happening to them when this is what they did to the Liberals from 2000-2006. Not allowing them in their chairs for votes, I remember stories about many back room negotiations that were private. What goes around comes around. And yeah, they should be the bigger party, but they're not playing the nice guys any longer. Oh well, boo hoo.
