Obama May Bring Criminal Charges Against Bush

    Thursday, September 4, 2008 10:15 AM

By: Jim Meyers Article Font Size

Democratic vice presidential nominee Joe Biden said he and presidential hopeful Barack Obama could bring criminal charges against the Bush administration if they are elected in November.

“If there has been a basis upon which you can pursue someone for a criminal violation, they will be pursued,” Biden said during a campaign stop in Florida on Monday, ABC News reported.

“Not out of vengeance, not out of retribution. Out of the need to preserve the notion that no one, no attorney general, no president — no one is above the law.”

Biden promised that an Obama-Biden government would go through Bush administration data with "a fine-toothed comb" and pursue criminal charges if necessary.

Democrats in Congress have issued subpoenas this year to senior Bush administration aides as part of an investigation into the authorization of torture tactics at the detention center in Guantanamo Bay.

And Obama vowed in April that if elected, he would ask his attorney general to investigate Bush administration actions to see if “genuine crimes” have been committed.

He told the Philadelphia Daily News: “If crimes have been committed, they should be investigated.”

And what does that say about McCain and his choice? You're already admitting she'll need help. How pathetic is that?
I'm not admitting anything. I don't believe experience is as big as an issue that the media and political opponents make it.

You are TOTALLY naive if you think the president of the USA makes each and every decision without any input from his trusted aides and cabinet.

I never said he did Frank.....I said he's not just a figure head. He isn't like the queen in England. He/she has plenty of power at their finger tips and does not need the approval of their cabinet to use it. Period. That to me makes her dangerous.

Experience in politics and dealing with foreign and domesitic issues is a huge deal. So you can believe what you like. I know where I stand as well.

My son is my life and I don't think I could ever love anyone or thing more than I love him.He knows if he goes to the office he's going to get the belt when we get home.the other night we were driving home and I told him that I hated having to go home to spank him cause I would rather go home and play ball with him than spank him.He said"Well we can play ball after my spanking cause it aint your fault I acted up."At the age of 4 he knows right from wrong and even though he knows the price he's going to pay he still acts up when I aint around. No matter the age they know how to act,you just hope the do it when your not around.I don't think I'm a bad parent.

In Palin's case, the problem and accountabily is magnified because she is a strong advocate of morality and abstinence.
It bothered me greatly to see her young 17 year old daughter on the stage pregnant already with a full life ahead of her.
If I were a candidate for Vice President and preached what she did, I would be terrible disappointed in both myself and my daughter for letting this happen and would certainly not be hypocritical like her and like a scamdicapper try to spin the whole unfortunate matter off as a positive thing.
How can you disagree? You don't have teenagers.

It's immoral for teenage sex? I don't know what rock you crawled out from under?

Sarah Palin is a strong advocate for abstinence. What does that have to do with her teenage daughter? It's a different generation. My daughter does many things that I don't advocate. Does that make me a failure? No! Does that make me a poor parent? No!

Savage, you are in for a rude awakening. One more thing I've found. The stricter a parent. The more we try to ram our morals down their throat's the more they will rebel.

Fuck experience in politics? They're all FULL OF SHIT.

Let's talk experience in foreign issues. How much experience does Barrack have compared to McCain? You'll vote for Barrack as president with limited experience when compared to McCain but you'll pass judgment on a true figure head VP?

Absolutely I will vote for Barack, because even though he doesn't have much experience in foreign politics, I think he will be much better received in the Middle East than McCain and that's what we need right now. We are losing the diplomacy battle in that region because Bush has fucked things up so bad. We absolutely need someone who can go there and negotiate peace. And soon. It's the only way to end that POS war. And McCain has stated he thinks we'll be ther for a 100 years. So yes, Obama gets my vote without question. He'll at the very least be trusted by both sides....

How do you think white, milk toast, soccer mom Palin will be received in the Middle East. Where women are not allowed to vote?

                                Speak for yourself Frank.
There are PLENTY of kids who DON't get pregnant whilte they are teenagers;I will do anything in my power to ensure that my soon to be 14 year old daughter does not become pregnant like Palin's daughter did.
If she does, I will share the blame equally with my daughter and certainly not have "a "no big deal" attitude and Palin has and worse try to spin it into a positive as she is trying todo.
