Dude all I can say to this post is Good Luck raising teenagers and teenage daughters. Currently, you are clueless about raising teens. It's an adventure. You won't enjoy the ride. It's without any question the toughest obstacle I've faced my entire life.

Get the message across? If it was that easy.

I said if she gets PREGNANT, I will be disappointed and assume some responsibility as I rightfully should as a parent.

No one said it will be an easy ride, but all I konw is that i was taught by my parents to have safe sex if I had sex as a teenager, and I did.
I want to teach my children the same;if I don't and my daughter gets pregnant or my son some day impregnates someone as a unmarried teenager, I obciously didn't do my job very well.
ps I have read several books on how to raise and talk to a teenage girl simply because I know it won't be easy.

Excuse me but didn't the Enquirer come out with the first story about Edwards and his extramarital affair?
Don't laugh so fast my friend;they could be on to something.

Dead wrong? You've gotta be kidding right? Why not let Bozo the Clown run the country? Oh wait, we had that for 8 years and look where that's gotten us.....So your point is the cabinet will make the decisions? So you're admitting she is a poor choice already? And what does that say about McCain and his choice? You're already admitting she'll need help. How pathetic is that?

You can try and polish a turd, but bottom line, it's still a pile of crap......His choice for VP is ridiculous. And I'm sorry to tell you Frank, but the president is more than just a figure head. There are diplomacy issues, foreign affairs, the inner workings of the CIA and much more.

So if you feel fine having a mom running the country, making executive decisions with her BA degree in hand, while her 5 kids are at home, one who is a pregnant teen and the other with Autism, then by all means vote for her and McCain. Feel comfortable having her deal with Iraq, Iran, China, Russia, N Korea, and a dollar that is flat.....

I won't be voting for that. And if a Democrat picked her for a running mate after only meeting her twice, I'd have serious concerns on how they'd run the country after that choice......

Obama and Biden or McCain and Palin? Educated and experienced or old and inexperienced. It's a no brainer.....

I find this very interesting and telling for those who think the present Administration has done a good job(except from New York Times article).
Can any Bush supporter tell me why Bush's own party didn't make reference ONCE to anything positive his Administration has done?

Ms. Palin’s speech was the big draw of a convention night notable for not a single mention from the stage of the unpopular president, George W. Bush, who addressed the delegates Tuesday via satellite from the White House after the hurricane forced him to cancel his appearance.

Wow!! Have you got some heartbreak headed your way.
Anyone that has taught their child right from wrong by word AND by deed can not start beating themselves down with quilt for the actions of their teens. You can only guide them. you can't make them do right but only let them suffer the consequences (whether natural or ones you gave them).

I respect your opinion but don't agree.
In Palin's case, the problem and accountabily is magnified because she is a strong advocate of morality and abstinence.
It bothered me greatly to see her young 17 year old daughter on the stage pregnant already with a full life ahead of her.
If I were a candidate for Vice President and preached what she did, I would be terrible disappointed in both myself and my daughter for letting this happen and would certainly not be hypocritical like her and like a scamdicapper try to spin the whole unfortunate matter off as a positive thing.

The whole public thing is the issue, your kids will feel bad enough on their own without you publicly berating them. You must stand beside your kid and help them look for the positives in every situation or you could risk crushing them and that would be your worst move as a parent. JMHO

Of course you stand by them/her and do everything possible in your power to make sure pregancy goes on normally and that your daughter and baby go on and "live happily ever after", BUT I would also stress it was a HUGE mistake on her part, while telling her it was partially my fault also only for not teaching her better so that this would not occur.
I didn't see or hear anything publicly from Palin indicating that SHE should assum at least some of the blame for this occurring, and again trying to spin the whole thing off as a positive, I found disgusting and VERY hypocritical on her part.
At least Biden when asked what his biggest failure was by Rick Warren, he was honest and stated that it was the failure of his first marriage.

Now that I reflect upon it, scratch the last sentence about Biden re: his first marriage-it is incorrect.
He was not on stage with Rick Warren-Obama was.
He made the comments about his first marriage under different cisrcumstances;I can't recall wheh he said it(maybe his accceptance speech).

Obama May Bring Criminal Charges Against Bush

                                Thursday, September 4, 2008 10:15 AM

By: Jim Meyers Article Font Size

Democratic vice presidential nominee Joe Biden said he and presidential hopeful Barack Obama could bring criminal charges against the Bush administration if they are elected in November.

“If there has been a basis upon which you can pursue someone for a criminal violation, they will be pursued,” Biden said during a campaign stop in Florida on Monday, ABC News reported.

“Not out of vengeance, not out of retribution. Out of the need to preserve the notion that no one, no attorney general, no president — no one is above the law.”

Biden promised that an Obama-Biden government would go through Bush administration data with "a fine-toothed comb" and pursue criminal charges if necessary.

Democrats in Congress have issued subpoenas this year to senior Bush administration aides as part of an investigation into the authorization of torture tactics at the detention center in Guantanamo Bay.

And Obama vowed in April that if elected, he would ask his attorney general to investigate Bush administration actions to see if “genuine crimes” have been committed.

He told the Philadelphia Daily News: “If crimes have been committed, they should be investigated.”
