These are my overall feelings of the election:
One of the chief reasons I will be voting for Obama/Biden is this, and I think many will feel the same way:
The great majority of the people realize that Bush has done a truly horrific job as president, one so bad that at most there might have been at most one or two mentions of his name during the entire Republican Convention.
People including myself know that historically Mccain has supported for and voted for Bush proposals and legislation around 90% of the time.
Obama at the very least offers at least the hopes for change.
I can honestly say for myself that If Bush had done a good job as President(economy, ending the war, etc )and McCain was running against Obama without any consideration of the running mates( I know an unreal assumption, and I thing Biden is much more qualified than Palin ), it would really be a difficult choice for me as to who to vote for.
As stated before, I did vote for Bush Sr. as opposed to Dukakis in 1988 and would vote Republican do so again under the right circumstances.
However, because of the actual circumstances which exist today as opposed to the theoretical ones, I am voting for Obama, although I think he is far from being a perfect candidate.
