You can blame the bats all you want but Hamels had a lead all game til the 8th. He gave up 2 homeruns. I think if you asked him he would tell you he should have won that game.

Jimmy, I know you didn't see the game but this has happened like 3-4 times in the last 3 weeks or so. The pitcher goes into the wind up with a runner on first. On first movement the runner takes off and the Philles have the guy picked. In every case the pitcher has thrown to first as the runner is hauling ass to second. Today Howard's throw was much better than usual as the last couple ended up in left field somewhere. What I don't understand is why doesn't the pitcher throw to second??? You then have a run down or at worst the guy is safe at FIRST. I sick of seeing a guy caught only to have him steal second without a pitch ever going to the plate.

Perhaps you would want to give the opposing pitcher a tad of credit...he is only one of the best in the game.

I would, but this has happened for the past 30+ games...catch a clue.

In other words, Maine will throw a 90-pitch gem tomorrow night.

It started by being all over Ryan Howard's nuts and as predicted by everyone here, Howard found his swing and is crushing the ball. He proceeds to change his focus on the other 8 hitters and the offense as a whole. I'm sure when they score and win a few, we will here about their fielding or something else. It is unreal to be honest. Why be a fan when it gives you an ulcer.

The focus was on Howard, but I said the whole team couldn't hit. Let's see, as soon as Howard starts hitting, the rest of the team can't.

Like Mike pointed out, I'm not stating anything that is genius. I guess some just don't realize the obvious.

We realize the obvious. We also realize it is a 162 game season. I guess some don't.

Catch a clue? Didn't see you reference the previous 30 games in yet another whiny post of yours..... Just read it again and only saw you reference tonight....if you expected to score more than 3 runs tonight against Santana, perhaps you should be the one catching a clue...but unless it had a handle, it is highly unlikely you could.....
