Anyone who is upset about this guy getting banned and really wanted to see the picks is more gullable than anything....guy was a joke from the get go and the traplinesports.com/[email protected] username said it all...dont worry he wasnt going to make you guys all rich....

I'm sure he wasn't going to make us rich. But this comes up every single time a guy starts with the hype. The same argument ensues. "Let's protect the newbies!" "let the guy post and if he touts, then ban him!"....

My opinion, and it's not a popular one and usually never is, is that we are all adults and can read and do as we please. If you are so gullible, it will only take you once or twice before YOU LEARN not to follow someone so fast.

The first time I started getting on gambling forums I bet on guys who claimed to have a sure winner. It only took losing once or twice before I learned. Did I need someone coming in there telling me not to listen to the hype? No, because I wouldn't have listened to them. I LEARNED BY LOSING MY CASH. AND QUICK!

I'm just one of those guys that likes to read all the threads and picks of everyone. I wouldn't bet his picks until he started winning and proving that he could win. Guys come into these guys threads like sharks smelling blood. Angle was literally tore into for trying to post picks from someone who had been giving him winners. It isn't necessary. We learn by our mistakes and that is life! Until he said anything about charging or anything else, he should have been welcomed and moved on. Joe can police things just fine.

Now, as far as calling Spark a dick. His name is Joe and that was just an error on first name. just kidding ya buddy. He had no right calling you a dick and for that he need a ban....Now please relax in here.....

I really didn't want to start a new thread for this, so I will just try it here (sorry for wasting others time).

As Cubs' fans, what do you think of this whole Brian Roberts thing. Granted, giving up Cedeno doesn't bother me, but why is everyone making a big deal about a 30yr old 2nd baseman, who had his best years the past 3 years during the HGH era?? I don't get it (again).

The only positive argument I heard, was it would force Lou to bat Roberts 1st, Fukadome 2nd, Lee 3rd, Soriano 4th, and Ramirez 5th....which I DO like the sounds of. But other than that.....

Please tell me this isn't our BIG move. Please tell me we haven't hung our hopes footlockers and phone calls!

What I don't understand about the whole Roberts thing is not the HGH bullshit...it's that we have like 21 2nd basemen if we sign him. Where the hell is DeRosa gonna play? I LOVE DeRosa. He can play just about everywhere..but we still have Cedeno, and Fontenot, and I'm sure we could get another utility player for much less money somewhere.

It just sucks though cause Pie if he could at least hit his weight would be a GREAT leadoff hitter, but he'll bat 8th until he figures out he's a professional hitter.

I think this signing fits the needs of the team very well.... It would be be nice if Soriano was dropped to 4 or 5 in the lineup .... Last season, the Cubs were relying on power hits for wins ... Fukudome should make them a bit more balanced ...

Maybe I am being a little optimistic ... but i am a Cubs fan ...

This guy hasn't done anything (as far as i know, maybe I don't know that whole story, sorry). I'm not trying to start any arguement with this Trapline guy, Spark, Chad, anyone, I just honestly don't get it. What did he do? He said he was going to post picks, which we are all free to follow or ignore, and he said from the get go, they weren't his and he wasn't going to charge for them. So where is the problem? If he goes 8-2 or 2-8 what is the big deal? Now, if he starts charging, or touting a website, then I understand, but he said we wasn't and wouldn't do that, so what am I missing here. If he provides good picks for free, GREAT! Who cares where they came from or how he got them. If he gives out bust picks, ok.....I won't bother to check his post. Such drama.

Again, not trying to pick a fight here, maybe I'm just bored at work today, but what is the big deal?? Let him post his plays...thank him if he wins, don't if he doesn't, ban him if he touts his service, or just move him to the SERVICES forum.
