Trouble with Russia and Iran

Tony, for every horror story you find about Universal Health Care. I'm sure I can find a great story about Universal Health Care.

Here is the reason the right, or the people who lean right don't like Universal Health Care. Because there is a chance, do I dare say it. A chance that they will have to pay more taxes. That's the reason.

Here is how I see the system we have now.

I have health insurance through my company which I have had for over 3 years. It cost me around $60.00 a week. Out of the 3 + years I have used my insurance NEVER! But if I have to go to the doctor I have to pay $25.00 just for an office visit not too mention any other cost. My question is. Where is the money going that I've been paying for 3 years? My guess is that it has been paying for someone else's health care. Sounds like Universal Health Care to me, but we are just not getting it. Or I should say, were getting it alright.

I do not know the answer but i am in agreement that the healthy pay for the sick which i do not mind for justified illness.....

but if you have not noticed our country is fat as hell and with that is coming catastrophic problems....explosive diabetes (younger) cardiac events......for the 1st time they think the avg age may decline for life expectancy....as it is now they may be living longer but quality is terrible.....

It will result in higher taxes.....

Maybe we can sign a peace treaty like the Europeans did with Hitler right before he tried to take over the West? Iran has no intention of being peaceful....it's all one big show, and they are the wolf in sheeps clothing. Too many apologists in this world that end up finding out who the wolf is after they've tortured millions of people.

Let's not forget that it was Germany/Hitler that said that Poland attacked Germany in what turn out to be a staged act by Germany that started WWII.

And lets not also forget that it was LBJ that used the USS Maddox in the Gulf of Tonkin to escalate the Vietnam war.

And it was George Bush that pushed harder than anyone that Iraq had WMD's that were never found.

For those of you who think that Countries don't make up shit to start shit. I suggest that you see the Robert McNamaras' movie, The Fog of War.

All it takes is for a leader to sell the story and just make damn sure the people believe it.

Just like when we went into Afghanistan. I was OK with that, but when we went into Iraq, that's when I had a problem with the war. That's when I felt that this war was just drumed up to get Saddam. And as it's turning out, there is alot more too it other than just Saddam.

We always go after the little guy. Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, but we never seem to take on the real problem. China, and now it's looking like Russia, I mean the USSR is back in the mix. When it comes down to it, I realy feel the Russia and China feel the the USA is not going to do shit to them, so they let the little guy's do their dirty work for them. We need to stop being a bunch of pussies towards China.

Health care should be a right. But government paid for medical procedures should not. Those other countries aren't governed by the rules set forth in our Constitution.

We as Americans are responsible to keep ourselves healthy (would save billions) but most are fat/obese.......Injuries happen and so does disease but the fastest growing epidemic is obesity and obesity related diseases....

I do not want to be on the hook for people who have no self-respect, self-discipline or control.....Since this is the largest growth portion of medicine....I personally would rather insurance companies (many are now) pay for personal training (limited time), gym memberships and food education....It would be cheaper in the long run...

The key word here folks is prevention

And as far as Canada their are numerous other Countries with Universal Health Care.

PLEASE READ post before commenting.....i said people do get injured and sick ....that is life....and those people i have empathy for......

But the FASTEST segment of illness are ones that can be prevented.....type 2 diabetes....These are due to lifestyle choices.....And why should people who take care of themselves be on the hook for those that neglect themselves??? IF you are a good driver you get a good driver discount....why should you be placed in the risk pool?? Please answer me that.....Why not universal auto insurance and home insurance?? Hell, let's just socialize it all.....

I realize there are other countries besides Canada....like England who estimates its population to be 50% Obese in a decade......

Also Monte I was in the Medical profession as a metabolic specialist and an RA specialist. I have seen and learned about why disease happens. I have seen top doctors lecture and have actually hired them to speak in the Northeast, so i am well versed on why and how people get sick.
