  • Trouble with Russia and Iran

Now that Bush has been picking a fight Iran look who is coming to the rescue, Russia. Russia is now playing big brother to Iran almost daring the U.S to do something against Iran. Basically this move by Russia is going to allow Iran to do what they want. Your move USA.

My question is, where has Condoleezza Rice been for the past 3 years? I seen that she had some dental work done. Did it take 3 years to close that gap in her teeth? She is the Secretary of state and she has been know where to be found since the election.

Whats going to be 8 years, this Bush administration has done nothing but took a big shit on this Country. This administration is wiping it's ass right now, and then it's going to flush the toilet on it's way out. The problem is that the Bush administration is going to leave with such a mess that the toilet is going to overflow and it's going to take the next (whoever it is) administration a long time to clean it up. I don't think there will be a worse President in my lifetime than George Bush.

I don't have a my way or the highway attiude Tony. I will say it all starts with holding talks with world leaders. I'm not saying that Bush never holds talks but he's such an arrogant ass and just about everyone sees that. So Bush holding talks only means I'm going to have a good meal at the White House. I would have my Secretary of state doing his job. There would be no woman holding that job, it's too important. Not every Country sees women as leaders. BTW did you that Ms. Rice's is suppose to be an expert in Russian relations.

I know this country is way down the toilet: The stock market is awful, the economy is awful, unemployment has skyrocketed. There's been no terrorist strikes on US interests outside of Iraq in 6 years. What an awful time!

I agree in that I don't think Condi will go down as one of the great Sec of States. However, you can't hold talks and negotiate with a party that has no desire to negotiate. Iran plans on going forward with their nuclear ambitions with or without the world's approval. Russia, China and these other countries that have financial interests tied up in Iran could care less what they do and that's only a tiny part of what's wrong with that region. Ahmadinejad was part of the group that held Americans hostage during Carter's administration for over a year. He has had little regard for the US long before Bush came along.

              Peace Treaty

Maybe we can sign a peace treaty like the Europeans did with Hitler right before he tried to take over the West? Iran has no intention of being peaceful....it's all one big show, and they are the wolf in sheeps clothing. Too many apologists in this world that end up finding out who the wolf is after they've tortured millions of people.

I guess you are right. Well, unless you have a loved one or know someone has come back from Iraq missing an arm, a leg, or is in a wheel chair. Or worse of all, in a body bag. Then I don't think you are doing alright.

And I guess you are not doing so well either If you are one of the Hundred's of Thousand's of people facing forcloser on your home. And if you build, buy, or sell homes right now. I don't think the economy is looking too good for you. Most people in the housing business are lucky to have jobs right now.

If you are sick and don't have insurance. Hell, even if you do have insurance I don't think you are doing well.

I don't want to put a lable on you ULApples but your post proves my point about right wing thinking. It's all about $money$ and nothing else. 1, 2, and 3 from you Apples. Stock market, the economy, and unemployment has skyrocketed.

Than the other card the right loves too pull. There's been no terrorist strikes on US since Bla, Bla, Bla. (Gotta keep'em scared) Truth is, as long as the money is flowing everything is just grand. Stop fooling yourself about Terror. There are alot of people making alot of money off of it. Lord knows you don't want to stop anyone from making a buck.

Last time I checked the military is all volunteer. Also, since it is the MILITARY, I'm guessing people kind of know going in that the military isn't exactly working at the local Walmart.

So now it's the government's fault, and Bush's in particular, that people were too stupid to get the proper mortgage for themselves? That's funny. I wish people were smart enough to know that if you have a low rate for a certain amount of months, and then that rate goes up, your payment goes up. How on Earth could you try to blame that on any President?

Health insurance is not a right. It's not the government's job to be involved with it.

I'm confused by the last sentence, maybe a typo? The stock market and the economy have skyrocketed, but not unemployment.

I've not thought of terror as a making money thing before. I've only thought of how there have been no USS Cole or Saudi military compund-type bombings. Remember this?

I agree.....There has been no terrorist strikes on our homeland for a reason. Why would they need to strike us here when they can kill plenty of young boys right at home, in Iraq? What's the count up to now? Over 3000 dead American's on Iraq soil. No need to come here and get caught. They can plan all their killings right in the comfort of their own homes thanks to Bush's failed Iraq war efforts.

Bush has so many failures at this point. He was voted recently by scholars as the worst president in history. He's failed in Iraq. Failed badly during Katrina and post Katrina. Really failed on foreign policy. Took a federal deficit that was in black during the Clinton administration and drove it into the ground to the tune of over $400 billion. He recently vetoed a bill to give health coverage to children. The housing market is dead and may get a lot worse. Unemployment was at it's highest levels in 2003, since his father was in office.

But hey, the good news is that the wealthiest people in this country got a tax break.

Everyone knows the president has little to do with the stock market going up or down. It has to do with many other factors than what the president does or does not do. Greenspan has more to do with it than Bush. Everyone said that Clinton had nothing to do with the record levels the stock market rose to when he was in office.

So what else can you point to as his great achievements? Very, very little.....

Not a similar event, but one that has caused several thousand people to die needlessly. It's called the Iraq war. It's been in all the newspapers. I guess you missed it.

The Congress was Republican dominant. It was going to pass no matter what. Liberal's had no choice and voted as a show of solidarity. They all spoke out against it. This was Bush's plan and Bush's war. NOT THE DEMOCRATS! So what's your point?

I have to disagree with 2 of your statements there. He vetoed a bill that would have increased his 5 BILLION dollar proposal to what 50 BILLION? So funding a program with 5 BILLION dollars isn't enough? What about adults on the program, or increasing the income levels to qualify for the program? Just about everyone will agree to keep the program funded for the poor, but many aren't in the program who do qualify.

And in relation to your comment about the housing market, how is that any President's fault? Isn't that much different to when tech stocks were hot, and that market went dead. Things are cyclical. I agree it might get a lot worse, but the government is going to be stupid enough to bail everyone out. So much for buyer-beware. Are there unscroupulous people who preyed on victims; I am sure of it. But aren't there same predators in car sales, insurance sales, or really anything.
