You are looking at the concept of fading completely wrong. I know that winning 50% of the time you are actually losing because of the vig. That is a given. But you are trying to break this down to the nth degree. It isn't rocket science. There isn't,at least not at this time, a mathematical formula or equation which explains what we are doing here.

Here is the way I look at things. What we are trying to do is be contrarians here. Plain and simple. If there is 90 out of 100 people betting team A chances are that team B is going to win. And that is the side we "faders" are going to bet. Simply put Vegas NEEDS team B to win and that is the side I want to be on every single time. I don't care about the statistics of 50% winning or losing in the long run. We are talking about picking your spots, going against the majority and that is all. We all believe in it and it works. All I can tell you is you can either be in on the winning or you can be on the sidelines watching. its your choice. All I can say is that I got in on the fades during the ncaa tourney and buried my man big time. Go back and look at the fades during that time. I'm a believer.

I didn't get involved with the fades until baseball season this year. We made a profit in April of roughly 9.5 units, we made a profit in May of roughly 6 units, we made a profit in June of 3.6 units, and we made a profit in July of 3.3 units. August kind of started kicking our ass when we started out at 7 wins and 13 losses and were down 4.98 units, that is why I stopped posting the fades and just started watching em and they still are not working in the bases right now. I get a hell of alot of service plays and I chart and record most services, so I'm still silently doing the fades and yes there not working in the bases right now!!! When you do the kind of road work (tallying and recording the fades like I do religiously) and see something isn't currently working you have got to be smart enough to take a break from that system and hope it starts working again. I think the services got better as the year went on with more information and stats to give them stronger data on making winning selections. As far as you saying I'm playing the fade system like a trend on a roulette wheel, maybe so, but I see them not working right now and I'm not going to have followers lose their money when I can avoid it, its that plain and simple. The fades will start working again in the bases and when I see it happening, trust me we'll play em again with confidence. The line issue you are on is a great idea; having more than 1 sportsbook is definitely the way to, so you can shop around and get the best line available, but the bottom line is, their are a few games each year that the sharps are on and their on the right side, but these aren't always the games to play, because the books will try to adjust their lines and trap you by a 1/2 or 1 point. If people know earlier in the week about these games, they can also try to middle the games out when the books move the line a couple of points, just for your information, the books have to be clever with these lines, because believe me their are sharps in Vegas that do nothing but try and middle games out! Hopefully you'll tag along with the faders and we will all have a good season this year and beat the man, that's what it's all about!!!!In talking about what percentage you have to win at, its around 53% you need to win at to come out ahead in the long run. Exampe; if a bettor makes 100 bets at 110 to win 100 and he wins 53 of his bets, he makes 5300; on the 47 bets that he loses he loses 5170, so he would come out $130 ahead.
