  • I dont like ever intend to bet the Cubs, but they will win a game one day. The worst teams win 50 games. Cubs are really bad, like below the Astros bad. They have no pop, they may hit 2 singles and get a walk and have Barney hit a 3 run triple every now and then, but this team is bad. Their owner(or one of them) was a retard on undercover Boss, I watched it the other day.

Also trade Starlin Castro to my Braves please. We got a hole to fill at SS.

But I bet them today. I think its a stupid strategy, but they will win at least 50-70 games.

          • Chicago Cubs pitcher Carlos Marmol will no longer close games, manager Dale Sveum announced on Sunday. Japanese import Kyuji Fujikawa will take over the role.

"I came into the season with the mindset of a set-up man," Fujikawa said through his interpreter. "Once Marmol's condition gets better I think there is a chance he'll come back. We all have to fight through it."

Sveum said he wants Fujikawa to keep the job and doesn't want to have to keep going back and forth changing roles. Fujikawa was a closer in Japan for 12 years amassing 196 saves in that time. He signed a two-year contract this past offseason.

Marmol lost his job after giving up game-tying and winning home runs to brothers B.J. Upton and Justin Upton in the ninth inning on Saturday. It was his third appearance of the young season in which he gave up runs. His ERA is 27.00.

"You can't complain about it," Marmol said of losing his job. "They say it's better for me and for the team. I'll take it. I agree."

Fujikawa also got hit Saturday giving up three runs in the 8th inning allowing the Braves to pull within one. "I wasn't very good yesterday," he said. "I think the level of play is different than Japan so I think I need both [the mental and physical part] to be successful."

Sveum talked to both Marmol and Fujikawa before Sunday's series finale against the Braves.

            • 1st game I watched from beginning til end of a Chubs game this year. Same old FUCKING shit!!! 4-1 lead and cruising then choke the fuck out of it to lose in extras... Theo has improved the pitching (if anything at all) but there is not 1 guy who scares you at the plate.

                        • Man Soler and Bryant look good, and to go with Rizzo. This team is gonna be fun to watch, but don't bet on them, their bullpen sucks
