A certain acc team (fsu) who averaged 550 yds and 45 points a game in 2000 did not sniff the end zone against ou in the national championship. Me thinks fsu racked up those numbers against "inferior" competition and then ran into a "real" team. Bobby Bowden has never beaten ou.

What about the fifth best team in the conference-texas tech taking aaron rodgers and the cal bears to the woodshed. My point is, arguments can be made for any conference. I will say this, no conference has won more national championships since 1990 than the inferior big 8/big12.
