what part of florida are you from?

I live in Daytona Beach. Originally from Long Island. Moved here in 1996

i used to date a girl that lived in Long Island, and 1 of my really good buddies lives there. The ex, ex, ex, ex, ex, ex, lived off of the 57th exit on the L.I.E. I think it was 57. Anyway, why the move to fla? Weather?

A business opportunity moved me to Florida. The weather helped. Winter of 1996 LI had about 5 or 6 snow storms. That was enough for me. I decided to take the opportunity. I love going home. I go at least once each year. That being said I'd never move back.

congrats on the 3,000 posts!!!! i'm not far behind. i was born and raised in pgh. i plan on being here for 1 more year, then either out west to SD or LA or down south to Fla. haven't decided yet. weather here is miserable. i need to be warm, where i can be near a beach and be able to ride my bike all year, and keep the benzito all shined up.

Making the move is the hard part. After the first winter in Florida I never looked back. In January I'm walking around in shorts while northerns are bundled up.

I moved here in August. I went home that first December for the holidays. The day before I left I was playing golf.

I've spent lots of time in LA. IMO its a great place to visit but I'd NEVER live there. Too much congestion. When I drive my road rage is waiting to erupt. That's the one thing I hate about Florida. Too many old drives. Never in a hurry to get anywhere. I always have a sense of urgency.
