yep i agree. but the 2 guys who cause the damages arent even facing felony charges. I mean what if they had a bat or knife or gun. How many times do you here someone trying defend their property ie.car,mailbox,house etc and then when they confront the person or persons they themselves get the snot beaten outta them.

oh and yes Doc its lee from ralphs. funny thing is. he is 6'3 240 and jacked. i guarantee you he didnt need the bat to beat both their asses. they are lucky he had the bat cause if he used his fists he would prolly killed both of them. he told me he only brought the bat out cause he had no idea how many ppl were out there it was 3am and he didnt know if they had any weapons or what not.

true but how would you feel if it was your property. If someone was doing that to my mailbox or anything on my property i'd tell kel to call 911 and i'd grab a bat a shovel or whatever and it would be on like donkey kong. the 5-0 wont or wont be bothered to go after someone for personal property damage.

Wow, 27 and 33 years old and smashing mailboxes?? I did a little of that when I was 16. I can't blame the guy for doing what he did. If I caught them doing that to my mailbox, I'd have done the same thing.

So you take the law in your own hands? Like you said, supposed they had a knife or a gun? You willing to risk your life and leave behind a widow over property, whatever it may be, that can be replaced? Or do like your friend did, and could possibly end up in jail, and leave your wife behind to pay the bills by herself? Not a good move there buddy.

my point is its your property. Sometimes you have to take the law into your own hands. what are your options? file a police report, nothing ever gets done, and your out a mailbox. makes no sense. IMO those fuckers got what they had coming to them. was it a bit much? yes. i'll say that. but for lee to be facing felony chargers while the others arent is rediculous.

Ok, it's your property .... So what you are telling me is that you would risk your life for "property." If you want to do that, become a police officer and get paid to do it.

Now, if someone is setting fire to your house, or something extream like that, then yes, by all means protect it. But smashing someone in the head with a bat over a mailbox is just plain dumb .... And not to mention that the damage was already done. JMO

Call the police. They MAY just catch the person(s) responcible. And if not, so be it. Buy a new mailbox and injoy your life and freedom with your wife/family.

It might have been extreme, but fuck it. If he didnt beat there ass with a bat, NOTHING would have happened to them.

He wont do a day in prison, there is no room in prison for someone who plays baseball on someones dome, if they dont get seriously injured.

Not true JC .... He is faced with 2 felony crimes .... They do make room for assults with injuries .... Not to mention, if found guilty and does get off with fines, he will be suied in civil court. And if that case wins, he'll wish all he had to do was pay for a new mailbox.

I could not agree more .. it's dumb .. over a damn mail-box ... think of it ..

Besides hitting another human being over the head with a baseball bat a felony is a very serious charge .. it follows you for life ...
