Grass that is grown on a farm, they take it up in like 20 foot sections roll it up and transport it on a truck. You then roll out the grass in sections where you need it. If your putting it down this time of year KB, you better keep it freaking wet as hell or your going to lose it.Originally posted by Meg25ummm go ahead and laugh..but what is sod planting?
I cant believe your putting it down this time of the year. I had my water lind burst in the front yard, hand a backhoe dig up half my front yard trying to find it, i am going to wait till September to put some sod down, dont feel like spending 300 to 400$$ trying to keep it wetQuestions, comments, complaints:

I agree ... Laying sod this time of the year is tough ... Like you said jc, better keep the hose on it all day and night ...Originally posted by jcindavilleGrass that is grown on a farm, they take it up in like 20 foot sections roll it up and transport it on a truck. Before the hose he better till the ground really good. Then put down a good fertalizer then lay the sod down. You have to water sod really good any time of the year especially when its hot. The best way is to put a soup can in the yard and see how long it takes to fill the can 1 inch. Also its best to water your lawn in the morning.Originally posted by jcindavilleGrass that is grown on a farm, they take it up in like 20 foot sections roll it up and transport it on a truck.
