Good morning on this fabulous Friday morning. Somedays you just wake up and feel a calming confidence about yourself, like you are wanted and belong, respected and accomplished, well today is one of those days. I feel freaking fantastic, ready for the long weekend ahead, ready to put the long hard work week behind me, knowing that I've accomplished many things
I hope so too. And maybe I'm jaded because I've been an ardent supporter of this league since its inception, but I feel like MLS has avoided the traps that the NASL fell into and that the league is well-balanced instead of being the New York Cosmos and a group of schmucks.
For example, Denilson just signed on with FC Dallas the other day. Paulo Wanchope and Blanco now play for Chicago. Claudio Reyna plays for New York. It's unfortunate that soccer has become such a devisive issue in the US because many of its supporters couldn't care less if Jim Rome or kbsooner paid attention to the league or not. We just want the league to persist this time around and give US soccer a chance to grow with the hope that we can win a World Cup some day.
Lets just say this.....I hope that in a year or so, if not sooner, you can refer back to this post and tell me I was wrong. I have been against this since the beginning because i don't think it's gonna really help the mls as much as it's gonna help Beckham's pockets. i want to be wrong....i really do. i just don't see it.....
I hope he brings more guys to the states that can make MLS soccer more then irrelevent.
